I really enjoyed Copa Vida. It’s a bright and engaging space. Plenty of seating available. The menu has enough to choose from, including an array of tea options which looked tempting. There is free hot sauce/ ketchup / condiments available to grab for your food! I had the iced Americano and drank it all. Very balanced. I paired it with their French toast which seems to be made with sourdough and I was pleasantly surprised. I’ll never want French toast made with any other bread again! I had the bite of my sisters breakfast burrito and it was delicious. She really enjoyed the greens in it. AMAZING portion sizes as well. Pictured is also the Feta Egg Bar which is a great addition to your morning coffee. Everyone was very welcoming as well.

I have been a customer for years and have always liked the location and the general atmosphere. However, in recent times, the condition of the coffee shop has become frankly abominable. Every single surface is grimy and covered with dust and dirt. Even the shelves on which their merchandise is displayed have a thick layer of dust and coffee grains. All the chairs, windowsills, walls, and even equipment are dirty (please look at the pictures I have taken on the 8th of Jan 2026 ).
I am not saying that they should buy new furniture or repaint, or anything like that, but to simply clean the place is well within everyone’s reach, in my opinion. I feel like keeping the place in such a condition is disrespectful to the paying customers, who come to rest and enjoy their time, and instead see dirt everywhere they look. How the managers don’t see it, I can’t comprehend. Or do they see it and think it is all good enough, and the customers should be okay with this?
Additionally, the condition of the place raises sanitary concerns. If the main area that customers can see is in such a state, what is going on in the kitchen? Is it even safe to eat here? Maybe it will be worth my while to file an official complaint with the Environmental Health Services Division.
Basically, I would recommend avoiding the place until they adopt a different attitude to sanitation to avoid potential health issues and spoiling your mood. I feel strongly about the places where customers pay money to uphold at least the bare minimum of cleanliness and respect for their customers.

I had a drip coffee here that was really good! I added creme to it. My friend the Turkey Brekkie and really enjoyed it. They were quick with service, especially since it was New Year’s Day and the Rose Bowl Parade had just concluded.

This place is the top coffee shop in old town Pasadena. They have a large selection of coffee and tea, as well as some nice food options for breakfast or lunch. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The interior is very large with tons of seating. Overall great place to grab a coffee or bite to eat and just chill.

We pass by this place whenever we go to Pasadena . I don’t know why we’ve never tried it . Well we finally decided to stop by for coffee one day in the late afternoon . It’s a cute spot right on the corner of old town Pasadena . Great service . Plenty of room inside . We ordered a hot honey latte. It was subtle not too sweet and just made very nicely . We’ll have to come back and try their food . We were checking out some of the plates and it looked delicious . We will come back for sure !

Really nice shop and experience! Came here with a few friends on a weekday morning and it was a little busy, but our food and coffee still came out within 10 minutes. I ordered the veggie burrito and enjoyed it so much!! The oat milk latte hot was also tasty. I would come back.

Copa Vida is ridiculously consistent with their coffee, pastries, and cleanliness. Their staff is chipper, cordial and very knowledgeable on everything cafe related. I love Copa Vida! Big shout out to Tiana, Daniel and Linda! Their baked goods are something to write home about! The family favorite is the iced cold brew and chocolate crossaint which locals have dubbed “The Linda Special” 10/10 across the board! Gotta have that Copa Vida!

I ordered a latte with almond milk. The flavor was great and the temperature was just right. Overall and excellent coffee to start off the day. Make sure to say “to go” or the default is in a glass cup and saucer.
I’d definitely come back to try their other menu items. The interior is large with numerous areas to sit and bring a laptop.

-1 star only because they charge $1 for milk alternatives, which is so backward imo.
Vegan breakfast sandwich was delicious! Iced vanilla latte tasted great too. Plenty of seating, fast and friendly service. Bike rack outside.

This coffee shop was wonderful. Coffee and tea that we got was great and the environment was good as well. I would definitely stop by here again if I needed work done on my laptop or if I wanted some good coffee and tea and some pastries. The coffee shop is pretty large so there’s lots of room for everybody.
Would definitely recommend Copa Vita.
