Yum. In true Coop’s fashion is was a tasty experience. Stopped in for a small bite and to pick up wines, and left stuffed. The food was delicious (shrimp tempura appetizer, the potstickers, smashed sliders, and fries) and the wine (Blanc de Blanc) was the perfect pairing.
Reservations are needed as I feel this location is always packed. But the hype is warranted. I’ve never been disappointed.

This was the second time I have been to the restaurant.
The first time I was handed a dirty menu. The food was good, and the server was attentive. I did notice that it isn’t the cleanest place. Silverware, glassware and plates weren’t impressive.
I went for Thanksgiving just recently. There was a long hair entwined in the place setting when I sat down. The restaurant, again, isn’t the cleanest.
When my dinner was brought out I asked my server to bring me a plate without a hair. She did promptly, but the portions were remarkably smaller than the plate she took away. I just didn’t say anything. Nobody came over to apologize on behalf of the restaurant. The dessert with the meal was a pumpkin cheesecake, and the server brought spoons. Spoons?
We were finished and I asked for the check. No gesture had been made towards the bill. I put my card in the folio and handed it to the server. I asked if she had told anyone about my first plate and she said she had told a manager. I said I was surprised someone hadn’t adjusted the bill. She said it had slipped her mind, and did I want her to ask someone about it?
This isn’t the restaurant they are wanting to be.

Went to Cooper’s hawk Sunday night for the first time with my friends. First, the restaurant is beautiful and spacious, food delicious- I got the Leonard burger 10/10. That pesto Caesar salad dressing? Chefs kiss. But the best part of my experience was my server Darnell 🙂 He was very kind, attentive and super knowledgeable (also gives great recommendations) I will be back for sure.

Nice place. Service was pretty good. My wife was not happy that the waitress didn’t return enough to ask her if she wanted another cocktail. My tea also ran dry. But the young lady was busy however if your try to portray yourself as a high end restaurant then you should have runners that check the basic drinks at the tables. Now turn your attention to the photo. I ordered the Surf and Turf so I could try the pretzel crusted pork chop and the pistachio crusted grouper. When my plate appeared it was very disappointing. The pork chop was one thin cut small pork chop, the kind you would get from Foodlion in a multi pack. 4 inches long 2 1/2 inches wide. Even worse was what was supposed to be the Grouper filet. 4 inches long by 3 inches and only 3/16 thick, part of it was 1/8 thick. You can see in the picture it’s a little more than paper thin. The Chef really let this lack of quality of food come out of his/her kitchen! Food was pathetic. Maybe they were being bias toward me because I was coming from UVA where I had my cancer appointment and didn’t have a way to change out of my country looking comfortable clothes (But nice clothes) and they didn’t like that in their restaurant. No matter what, the food was unacceptable and a joke. Shouldn’t of broken my rule of not going to restaurants with a review history of less than 4.6-4.7. I definitely would not risk a special night out here.

My overall experience was okay. Our waitress Erykah was pleasant and knowledgeable, but you could tell she was handling a lot (no fault of her own) and was not as attentive. The bartender was moving extremely slow which limited your ability to take advantage of the happy hour drinks because he was moving so slow. On average it was taking them about 20 to 30 mins to make drinks. We order the wine flight and substitutions were made doe to them not having certain fruit and weren’t even asked about it before hand. Additionally I ordered a medium well filet mignon and it can out burnt and overcooked. Instead of taking the entire plate back I was left to eat the sides of mashed potatoes and broccoli while a new filet was being prepared. Once it came out it was cooked as ordered. To say the least I was disappointed by my experience especially coming from New Jersey where we do not have a Cooper’s Hawk close by I was looking forward a to have a great experience as I have had at other locations in Virginia Beach and Annapolis MD.

A great spot for a date, work gathering, family affair or just a nice night out. The wine selection is plentiful, along with the cocktails menu. Obviously it is a winery, so the wine selection and quality would be expected. The food was the surprising part. The menu offers many options and the quality and taste exceeded all expectations. We started off with the calamari and the egg rolls, both very tasty options. I had the crusted grouper, which was fantastic. You need to try this restaurant, you will definitely return. A++

I would love to thank Coopers Hawk for this past weekend my mom enjoyed her retirement party! They were so accommodating and polite a special shout out to Jenifer and Stella ladies you both were phenomenal!!! I couldn’t have asked for better waitresses. I do have to say it started off rocky I had called several times to make arrangements and to get a date locked in but they definitely made up for that. The manager Ryan was awesome too thanks for the gift! Food was perfect

Cooper’s Hawk has been a staple in my life for years now but it is now considered a place of comfort and peace because of the staff!! Everyone shows genuine kindness and professionalism Issac is the best Bar Tender in Richmond. If you like sweet Martini’s ask Issac for the Heather!! Ashesla the manager is a Gem as well!!!!
