I want to give HUGE compliments to Linda at the Rockville location! For the longest, I thought that Cooper’s Hawk was overhyped, but the more and more I keep coming back the more I realize how amazing they really are. I love to order the surf and turf with the Churisco steak and the pistachio crusted grouper. This particular event was for my dad’s birthday, and the service was out of this world from the beginning. She was very friendly and personable and made us laugh. And to top it all off at the end, I mentioned it was my dad’s birthday and she said that the truffles are complementary, but I knew he loved chocolate cake and asked if she could bring that out as well and she said yes. And of course I ordered my own dessert for myself because I’m like that. She deserves the best and we could not have had a more lovely Birthday dinner.

This would be the first but not the last time I’m visiting this amazing place. The experience was one of casual fine dining. From the front door to the wine tasting, all the way to the dining service was breathtaking. Speaking of the service, I had the privilege of meeting Chef Skylar and being served by Douglas. Those two made sure that my dining experience was meet with confidence and perfect pairing of the wines and food. All the food suggestions were on point and none of them let me and my guest down. I suggest that if you are going to visit, make sure you find out how you can become a wine member. That definitely elevates the experience. I will be back to try new spirits and new food. Thank you Chef, Douglas, and the whole Cooper’s Hawk staff for making this experience memorable.

After wine tasting at the Reston and Rockville locations, I decided to join the wine club. I enjoyed the wine and the experience at both location. The staff and customer service were great. I thought the benefits of being a member were pretty good. I decided to take my family to the Rockville location for dinner for the first time. Started with a bottle of white wine and a calamri appetizer which very good and everyone liked it. We ordered the filet, blackened tuna, lettuce wraps and jambalaya for our entrees. I had the blackened tune and found it bland and lifeless on its own. The filet was order medium rare but arrived rare. I like it but the person who ordered it said it had a funny taste. The lettuce wraps didn’t look appetizing so I didn’t taste it. The person who ordered the wrap didn’t like them. The jambalaya was “okay” and the person who ordered it, like it. Ordered the creme brulee, cookie w/ ice cream and chocolate mousse for dessert. The cookie and ice cream was good. The creme brulee tasted of straight caramel and chocolate mousse tasted like anything but. The food was very disappointing and I wouldn’t order any of the dishes again. The other dinners have been to other locations in the mid West and said the food was great. They all share my same assessment. I like the restaurant and tasting room. In addition, I love the overall concept. The wine list is extensive and the customer service is great. No issues parking and I recommend reservations. I recommend the wine and plan on keeping my membership. We did not enjoy the food. No issues parking.

My Fiancé and I came here on a vacation for our anniversary and it did not disappoint! The vibe was really nice and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive without feeling over the top.

What matters most- the food was delicious. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly — super tender and full of flavor. We also ordered the calamari, which was crispy, light, and a great way to start the meal. The jumbalya was sooo flavorful. Something you don’t see done well often and was a pleasant surprise! The staff is also really great at helping you find wines you’ll actually love.

Overall it was a great experience and a perfect spot for a date night or night out. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Maryland and would highly recommend it!

I was here last night for Valentine’s Day. I had the crab, shrimp & lobster bisque. That was pretty good. I ordered the Parmesan crusted halibut, mashed potatoes & asparagus for my entree. The asparagus was slightly crunchy the way I prefer it. The mashed potatoes were flavorful. The halibut was very thick & hard to cut in to. It was overcooked, dry & flavorless. I should’ve sent it back, but we had a late reservation (9:15) & it took a while for our food to come out. I didn’t want to wait on a different entree.

I’ve been going to this Coopers Hawk location since it opened and go there regularly because I’m a CH member. I’ve been to many CH locations and this is by far my favorite! I love the large tasting area, service and food. The service at this location has been the best, specifically because of Ary who is my favorite server. She gives you a WONDERFUL experience dining at the restaurant from the minute you sit down. She’s knowledgeable about the wines and food and goes above and beyond to meet all of your needs. The most recent time I was there. She was attentive as always even despite being very busy and made sure our food was to our liking as well as our wine. I’ve gone to other CH restaurants and the food wasn’t quite the same in taste. This locations cooks seemed to be the best! I’ve brought my mom, boyfriend and friends to this location and they all LOVED it and said they prefer the Rockville location and Ary and raved about her excellent service. I’ve experienced other really great servers at the restaurant but Ary is by far the best because she gives all around top tier service and gets to know what you like in order to provide you with food and wine pairing recommendations. I highly recommend this restaurant and Ary and will definitely be back soon!

Fun wine tasting entry makes all the difference. The somalie helping us was amazing, allowing us to try their top wines and they were all great and some creative. Unfortunately but I didn’t have luggage space to bring them back. We had a great buzz time

The restaurant was clean and modern and the food portions were generous. It’s a nice spot to hang out!

I’ve been to this location a couple of times. In 2023 I did wine tasting and dinner with a friend for her birthday. That is when I joined the wine club. I visited this past Saturday to do wine tasting and brunch with friends. I didn’t realize they have a brunch menu. The food was really good. Wine tasting is always a good time. I went at 1130 to do wine tasting and brunch was reserved for 12pm. After a few hours the tasting area was packed. Glad I went earlier in the day. I had the brunch sangria pitcher, hash, and donuts. Can’t remember what my friend ordered. Something with shrimp. Dessert was also delicious. Great service both times.

Very disappointed. I was so excited to go here for a date night with my wife. I heard great things, but my experience was not good. As soon as I told my waiter (who was very nice) that we weren’t wine people, he lost interest in serving us. We had to ask for our drinks twice to get them, with no apology. I ordered a bisque soup, that was attempted to be delivered to the table after the dinner was finished. The waiter apologized because he said “he thought they were out” – then tell me that? I was expecting soup.
The reason why I am giving such a low rating though it the food. My wife had filet mignon, we both tried it, flavorless and undercooked. I order the shrimp scampi parmesan, it was awful. I tried to be positive but it was an angel hair pasta with raw tomatoes and 5 pieces of boiled flavorless shrimp. Maybe it was just today, but I won’t be going back.

Have come here a few times over the years. At first, many years ago, I found it to be good but quite pricy. But over the years, after the recent inflation, I’ve found their prices have not gone up much compared to other places, with the quality remaining the same. Even as someone who is not into wine, I find this place to be quite worth the price.

The portions for the appetizers I have gotten are all quite good and their complimentary pretzel bread is tasty and unique. My favorites have been the Brussels sprouts, Thai lettuce wraps and country rigatoni.
