I stopped in to catch the Crawford vs. Canelo fight, and for just a $5 entry fee, Coopers turned into a full-on event. The place was packed, the screens lit up, and the energy was wild. Crawford put the beats on Canelo, and the crowd fed off every moment. What really made the night, though, were the vibes. This place was bumping—dancing, singing, laughter at every corner. It’s rare to find a sports bar that feels like both a game watch spot and a party, but Coopers nailed it.
Between the solid food, the nonstop energy, and the convenience of being connected to the hotel, Coopers ended up being one of the highlights of my stay. If you want good eats with high vibes, this is it.
After such a long day, this interaction felt unnecessary and frustrating. I wasn’t trying to dine in—just grab my order and head to my room. Instead, I was made to feel unwelcome and ended up calling for a refund as I walked back to the hotel. Thankfully, the staff inside were kind enough to meet me at the door with my food, but even then security continued to glare at me and comment about the bottle.
I understand the need for security, but the way this was handled felt excessive and unprofessional. For guests simply picking up a to-go order, policies like this come across as petty and risk overshadowing the quality of the food and service inside. Additionally, apparently you need a NC ID to enter after a certain time(after 9?). What sense does it make to advertise in the connected hotel(where a lot of people will likely have out of state IDs) and then have policies that prevent people from getting their food they have paid for?
Sadly, no where during the online ordering process was any of these security measures mentioned after a certain time. I also did not see a way to have the order delivered to my room.
I do hope future travelers have a better experience than the one that was provided to me this evening. Best wishes.
Food was basic but good. Kid’s pizza wasn’t too great, but the fries were phenomenal!

Yes this place has changed again. It’s not anything like it used to be. The waitress we had (wearing braces) was hella slack. Her lack of attention to our table cut her tip in half. We were leaving and I don’t like to leave cash on the table, she had an attitude about having to come get the tip. I really should’ve taken that tip back. It was cold and the crowd was very, very different yeah nothing like last visit.
The atmosphere has gotten a lot better now they have male servers and an older crowd. The chicken wings are fried so hard it’s like jerky dipped in a sauce. They now charge gratuity after a certain time if you order food. Ridiculous surcharge. They have a DJ that is really nice (DJ RnB). It’s nice not having to hear constant rap. It’s old and new music. Tonight they have karaoke and it’s actually fun. My server Thomas was very attentive and kind. Nice change getting the other servers. Oh the bang bang shrimp is everything! *They have door dash for deliveries as well*
The menu made me feel like an all star and the actual food did not disappoint. I’m confident in tasting my 3 dishes everything on the menu banging.
But I write this review because they gave me and the wife a free 3$ a beer each. They more than made up for the 15 mins I had to actually talk to my wife Looked to be all down to earth customers there too. Not that busy at all. We will definitely be back with friends and family. This is not the old Coopers Ale House from my drunken college days.
