Cool Running Café is absolutely amazing! Their cakes are not only delicious but beautifully made. I’ve ordered from them several times, and they always go above and beyond to bring my ideas to life. The staff is so nice and easy to work with — they really listen and are happy to customize designs. Every cake has turned out exactly how I imagined (or even better!).

The combination of great service, friendly people, and stunning cakes makes this place a favorite of mine. Highly recommend Cool Running Café for anyone looking for a perfect custom cake and an awesome experience!

Always running out of food. Never have any soups, no chicken soups, beef, or red pea soups. Everything they had was decent not great. I just wish they would have been better. Not sure I’ll be back. And almost always closed to early.

I ordered the chicken soup expecting something hearty, but all I received was a bowl of broth—no chicken, no vegetables, just liquid. Very disappointing, especially for the price. Unfortunately, this wasn’t a one-time oversight; it has happened on more than one occasion. Consistency and quality really need improvement.

Came here on 2/10 and I have to say I was disappointed. I have been coming here since I was a teen and my favorite item has always been the brown stew chicken. Today it didn’t taste the same at all. The flavor was off. And the rice seemed like it had been frozen and thawed out because all the grains were broken. It looked more like quinoa than rice. Not sure what’s going on with the kitchen or chef but it’s just not the same.

DON’T EVER COME HERE. CAME EARLIER TODAY AND ORDERED 3 RED PEA SOUPS; too salty and made one of my family members ill; ordered a jerk chicken with rice and peas; no flavor and made me ill; gastrointestinal issues since I consumed it; ordered a stew peas with white rice; threw it in the garbage along with the rest of the other food. Gave 2 stars for service for the lady who took my order and the owner/manager who explained why fried, sweet plantains are not included in daily meals, Monday through Friday.

The attitude I was given included eye rolls, teeth smacking and huffs and puffs. Not sure what she was going through. I started to walk out but I still figured I would give it a chance plus I wanted the oxtails. The oxtails were okay. They were more fatty than the oxtails I’m used to having in more authentic Caribbean restaurants (with better customer service). But the oxtails were ok. Tender (not fall of the bone like my home cooked ones). But tender. The rice was a bit overcooked but…what should I expect? Maybe thats why the lady who served me was in such a nasty funk. Maybe she was just mad that she messed up the overcooked rice and took it out on me. Well…I don’t know. But overall, I give the place A star.

I used to eat at Cool running a few years ago and the food was very good. However, this time the food wasn’t that great. They were out of everything that they had on the menu. They didn’t even have gravy very disappointed.
