We showed up early after they just opened on a weekend for an early lunch. We were one of the first customers to enter the door and we ordered the charcoal grilled chicken meal. For the sides we had the sweet plantains, yellow rice and ordered an extra side of black beans. You could smell the charcoal in the dark meat which was juicy and tender. The white meat was much less juicy which was kind of expected. Overall, we left lunch feeling very satisfied and we helped ourselves to extra condiments and the fountain drinks were a great compliment for the meal.

This place is amazing . The food is delicious and very reasonable. The owner made sure everything was good and everything was perfect. We had the grilled chicken, Mac and cheese, and wings. It was all excellent.

5 star!!!!! I was greeted immediately upon entering. They made sure I had food.that would not affect my allergies. Fast and efficient service. Great selections charcoal or fried chicken. I choose charcoal chicken with cilantro lime rice and yuca with red onion. Fresh and delicious. Place was immaculately kept clean. Side bar was great addition. Definitely recommending this place.

Passed this place during work today and decided to stop in and try it for lunch. Got the fried chicken Embrulho, a mini plantain, and creamy jalapeño wings. The food was amazing. Very flavorful. Would definitely recommend checking this place out. Staff was friendly and the service was quick.

Customer service is excellent. Food comes out in a timely fashion. The chicken is cooked and seasoned well, and the sides complement it (especially the maduros). All at a great price. Can’t wish for much more.

I’ve already been here twice and I have to say I’m already super satisfied with this place. The chicken is amazing! There are some timing issues but that’s only because they are still figuring things out. Also, as it’s a soft opening, not all menu items are available just yet. I foresee great things for this spot if they can maintain the excellent quality of their food for the future! Looking forward to eating here often. The Portuguese rice bowl is definitely recommended.

I’m glad we tried this place. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Somehow, the wrong item was entered into the computer when we ordered. The employee who helped me insisted on replacing the wrong item immediately and let us keep the wrong item. The food was terrific! Flavorable and fresh! You get a lot for the money, too! The smoked wings and the rice bowl were outstanding. We’ll definitely be back!

Stopped by for lunch. Guy who took my order wasn’t the friendliest but the food was amazing. I ordered 1/4 charcoal white chicken with creamed spinach and sweet potato wedges which were delicious. The chicken is so juicy and seasoning was just perfect! Portion was large. One plate was about $13. My husband ordered the same chicken with creamed spinach and Mac n cheese. He really enjoyed it. He wants to try to fried chicken next time. Would definitely go back!

Cookoo Rico is amazing! I have been getting takeout every weekend and sometimes during the week. There is so much flavor in the food! Everything from the steak to the plantains has such rich flavor. I don’t know if it is the spices used or the way it is cooked, but the tastes are incredible! The portion sizes and variety of sides are great too. The staff is all very friendly as well. Overall incredibly satisfying, unique and delicious!
