What a memorable dinner experience for my kids and I before the fourth of July fireworks. The food was INCREDIBLE. not only was this the first time my kids had catfish, but it was cooked to perfection and they absolutely loved it. My son wanted catfish Alfredo and the restaurant obliged. He got a heap of fettuccine Alfredo and he broke apart fried catfish and topped his Alfredo with it. He was in heaven. Not only was everything fried to perfection, but the deserts!! OMG THE DESSERTS! huge menu, first off. Wow. And each of us got something different, but they were ALL huge and heaping portions. I cant wait to go back!!

Nice place inside the corps of engineers park. It was clean and very rustic. Staff, very cordial and helpful. The reviews for the pies are excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the banana cream pie. The restaurant looks out onto the lake. Bathrooms are old, small and clean, slightly musty smelling. There are very few places to eat in town. Menu photos as of May 2025.

It was a bit more expensive than I had expected, but it was delicious. My father lived in this area so I like to imagine that way back in the day he would have eaten here. The view was perfect. The food was great. Service was good. Very casual dining experience. Perfect amount of cinnamon in the butter for the sweet potato fries.

We had an early dinner here recently and had a lovely time. I got the Reuben and my husband got the fried walleye. Reuben was loaded with meat and saurkraut, very healthy portion! Good marbled rye bread. It came with potato chips but I also added a side salad. I could only finish half of the sandwich! My husband approved of the walleye. Nicely fried and it was a substantial serving as well. He really loved the hushpuppies. He had never had them before and they were loaded with flavor. We got a slice of cherry and a slice of apple pie to go. They were just ok. The crust could be improved as it was not as flakey as we like. Great service by Bailey. Would recommend!

We were out showing property and decided we needed a treat. We decided to share a Crispy Chicken Sandwich and Curly Fries. They were good…then we shared a Turtle Cheesecake with Hot Fudge. It was really good. Sweet tea was good, not overly sweet like a lot of places. Service was good. They were all very friendly…funny too. Loved the view of the lake. Sorry forgot to take pics before eating half of it! We’ll be back when we’re out showing property!

We come here every time we are in the area!!! It’s close enough to Sunburst/Northfork, and near a few lodging places on Bull Shoals. Great service and food was always delicious. AWESOME pancakes and great portions, even the omelets were loaded. Biscuits and gravy was so good. GET DESERT my spouse loved the ice cream and the chocolate silk pie was great. I live 4 hours away and it’s a diner I wish I had in my city. Overlooks Bull Shoals!

Three of us bikers came in for lunch recently after crossing the Bull Shoals ferry in the rain, very friendly staff, sandwiches were great, as was the coffee… the ‘icing on the cake’ were the pies….. I personally had pecan pie ‘a la mode’ which was superb…. I’m a bit reluctant to show photo of this as everyone will want this much ice cream on their pie! Been here twice now, live in UK so a long way to come just to ‘pop in’, will come again, though…. recommended!

Great home cooking, great service and great pies!! If you are ever in the area, Cookies is a must stop. The food and the service are always great. They have a beautiful view of the lake. I love to set and look at the lake while I’m eating. Cookies was very clean. The atmosphere was relaxing.
