I’m a long time customer of cookout (and former employee). I just visited your location in Smyrna, TN on a road trip and this was my “Big Double Burger” I received. It looks like you took the “small burger” (not the regular) and cut in half to make two patties. I understand things have changed with inflation, but this is absolutely ridiculous to charge me $8.77 for this tray!
I didn’t unwrap my burger until I was already back on the interstate and couldn’t turn around or I would have brought it the attention of an employee. There was also a problem with the drink machines not tasting normal in the lobby and I had to ask them to fill up my drink from the drive thru machine.
I don’t live near cookouts anymore so usually coming here is a treat, but this was a very disappointing experience!

Makayla at the drive thru is spectacular. I come every night after work for a shake and she seriously takes so much pride and making the perfect combination of snicker pieces and ice cream. She is 10/10 one of my favorite service workers!

I went to this location twice today and both times had disappointing service which isn’t new cause it’s been off and on for months now. From missing sides on my order to getting the wrong item to not getting any straw or plastic wear ( i have to ask for it). I’ve been going to this location for over two years on a regular basis and have seen the level of service decline big time and doesn’t seem to be getting better anytime soon. I’ve also gotten stale fries every time and even gotten the wrong shake. Every time I stop by there I’m on my way home so it’s too late to go back and i shouldn’t have to babysit every order cause the employees aren’t doing it. I’m going to have to visit another location as this one keeps declining.

This used to be my favorite burger place. A few years ago, they reduced the size of the burger patties, but on my most recent visit this past Saturday, the experience was especially disappointing. I ordered a double burger and received what appeared to be a small single patty. The burger was about the size of what you would expect from a McDonald’s Happy Meal.
Unfortunately, I didn’t return it because I was already back on the highway. The employee at the drive-through window also seemed distracted by activity going on in the background, which may have contributed to the issue.
I still like Cook Out overall, but I’m disappointed with the direction the restaurant has taken and the noticeable decline in portion size and attention to detail.

Fast. Accurate. Hot. Delicious!
This location has never been a let down the team here is doing things RIGHT! Even when the drive through is packed they keep it moving faster than any other restaurant I’ve seen. I think in part it’s because the boss here keeps his location properly staffed. The people I’ve interacted with have always been fantastic and the food has always been up to my expectations of Cook Out. Most definitely will keep coming to this location!

I had previously visited a cookout location in Murfreesboro, TN, on Memorial Blvd. and had a horrible experience for several reasons. I called the customer service number from my previous visit at that location and told them about the link for nutritional information being down and the improperly trained, rude staff, and they did fix the link on their website, which made a huge difference in my order choice. This separate location in Smyrna, however, was a great place to eat at; I visited it around 4pm this past Thursday with my gf, and we ordered one of their trays, the big double steak style with nuggets and onion rings, and split it because we both eat so little for various reasons. Our food came out fresh, and the guy who took our order was extremely friendly and understanding of our dietary restrictions. I would definitely recommend this location for an affordable, relaxed place to eat some good food at.

I thought cook out was supposed to be good on their pricing for what you get, but no. I went there late one night after work, and ordered a chicken quesadilla on the pick 3 menu, and a pick 3 for a hamburger and it was so flipping expensive. Way more than i thought and did the math in my head. Not to mention the food was just blehh. I will say though that the customer service was alright.

I did get falsely charged for something I didn’t get (chilli cheese fries instead of Cajun) but the guy was polite and did get us regular fries free of charge. I understand that’s a cashier mistake, and everything from the fry station felt really fresh but the wraps were just alright. I do love the lobby.
