Went through drive-thru Monday 12/29 around 7 pm. Got 3 milkshakes- pineapple, Heath bar, and some sort of chocolate mint. None of them had the usual amount of “stuff” – – just tasted mostly vanilla. Hoping this is not a trend.

If I could give negative stars I would. Order Cajun cheese fries and obviously they are out of cheese and instead just dumped a few bits of disgusting burnt “chili” meat to make up for the lack of cheese. So done with this place, not sure who owns it but they should be forced to end their franchise. It’s so gross. Orders are never correct, thought they could at least get cheese fries right. This is the only cookout I have been to that is so awful. Has to be ownership.

I don’t know what’s happened to their service, but they will not listen to you. I told them I was allergic mustard so I wanted cups of ketchup with my corn dogs instead. Not only did they not give me any ketchup at all (not even packets), but they still gave me mustard!! Even though I said I am ALLERGIC!! They even acknowledged that they heard me say I have a food allergy. That is dangerous and rude.

I ordered a double cheeseburger with mayo ketchup lettuce tomato and fries. I got no cheese or mayo. The burgers were so paper thin which I was shocked because most cook outs I’ve been too the burger is usually normal size and this burger I got was so thin. Both slabs of burger weren’t even thick enough to amount to one burger slab and I didn’t get ketchup for fries I had to walk up to window to get that I will never got back to that place again in shallotte nc.

It’s really disheartening when you get excited for a classic take out restaurant to open in your area…you anticipate the standard of food…to be comparable to Wilmington’s locations…and then it’s the worst!! I ordered takeout tray chicken quesidilla..altho its from a place known for burgers and shakes…I just love the chicken quesadilla..they are cheesy the chicken is decent..with some kind sauce..with a bit of a spicy kick!! …but not at shallote’s location…it must have been cooked to order..and then reheated because that cheesy just enough of this..an just enough of that taste I love…was all dried out and incrusted into the hard..dry tortilla…they had a chance to get it right 3 times..because I had 3 separately wrapped chicken quesadillas and a corn dog… I could barely choke down the first one..the only thing edible was the corndog…and even then..you could tell by the color..it had been cooked-OUT of its freashness..sitting under a heat lamp..or popped in a microwave. It really baffles me that if this location ..is a franchised run location…why not make sure your employees are trained right..or pay them enough to care..about their final food product they sell to a customer. A cookout in brunswick County seems like a great opportunity to make bank amounts of $$$$$ ..there’s a need around here for more options since..AND BEFORE covid struck. But no one is going to return after the initial wave of customers ..if the food is bad!!

Dont waste your money here theres way better places to eat in Shallotte. For whatever reason they have a left sided drive through window so if youre by yourself you literally have to get out of the car and walk to the window to reach it or try to lean across the car, but I came tonight to get food we ordered that was fine they got the orders correct and my friend had to get out of the car to get everything. She asked for extra cookout sauce the lady said how many is extra and my friend asked how many normally come with it she got nuggets and the drive through worker literally said however many we give out in a rude tone very unnecessary. We ignored it said thank you after getting everything and she just closed the window and walked off. We get back home and the food had definitely been sitting there awhile we got cajun fries and they barely put any cajun and the fries were inedible they were so old. Got chicken quesadillas and they were the worst quesadillas ive ever gotten at a cookout before i couldnt eat it they were also cold as well friends nuggets were burnt almost. If foods been sitting there a long time im sure they have protocols to waste it and cook fresh just laziness. People are more willing to wait if you tell them youll have to make fresh instead of giving them old food. no wonder there was no one in the drive through worst cookout ive ever been to.
