Reviews
From the person who greeted us, to Kyle who was our server, to the drinks, the food (including the complimentary bread and infused butter that was so delicious) and ambience; everything made my birthday dinner extra special and amazing. The singer was also spectacular, she had an amazing voice and the song selections definitely fit the ambience.
We had the octopus and tiger shrimp for starters, steak & lobster with pasta and the bread pudding as complimentary from the chef.
We had an amazing time and we will definitely be back
Our server was amazing—very friendly and accommodating. Since it was my birthday, we wanted to take a lot of pictures, and while some places have an issue with that, they were extremely understanding and allowed us to take photos for most of the night, which I really appreciated.
The food was honestly a 10/10. I haven’t had an Alfredo pasta this good in years. Everything about this place was just beautiful—from the atmosphere to the service to the food. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The service was exceptional, even with us taking what felt like a million pictures throughout the night.
Entering, we were greeted with a friendly hostess and quickly seated at a lovely table. Right away I noticed the comfortable chairs.
As we began to get comfortable Shauna our server came and introduced her self. She patiently described and suggested different types of cocktails to my wife and then promptly returned with our beverages. At that point she assisted us in getting to know our menu choices and features of the evening. That was quite helpful in ordering our first course.
After a short while, out comes our order. The seared scallops and their octopus were our first choice and let me tell you they did not disappoint. Cooked to perfection!
After taking our time savoring our starters Shauna returned filling our glasses of water and without any sort of urgency asked if we would like to order or take some time. That was wonderful to not feel rushed since we had two hours to kill.
We then placed our second course order. A 16 Oz Riley, dry aged and a seafood tagliatelle. We informed Shauna that we will be sharing the two dishes. Without hesitation she returned with fresh cutlery and plates so we could share.
When our order arrived we could immediately see and smell the al minute cooking of our dinner.
As Shauna placed our meal down we noticed that the chef had also included serving tongs along side our dishes for service. Nice thoughtful touch.
Well let me tell you how impressed we were with the quality and professionalism that went in preparation of our meal. Steak was cooked perfect.
We ordered espresso which came with a home made cookie. Nice way to end the meal.
As we paid the bill and began to leave we were fortunate to meet the owners. Such nice people.
Definitely a five star experience. We will be returning here to share our experience with family and friends.
Original Review:
Check your bills!
We unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The lobster risotto was good, but the ribeye steak was burnt and not worth the price at all. Overall, the food is extremely overpriced for the quality you receive.
The most concerning part was the bill. We were charged a “Spirit Tax” of $25, even though we did not order any alcohol. We only noticed it after we paid. When we asked our server, she said she didn’t know what the spirit tax was, even though it was applied to our bill. She went to speak to her boss and came back with $25 in cash to return it to us, but gave no explanation of what the charge was or why it was added in the first place.
We did get the money back, but this situation felt very suspicious. If we hadn’t carefully reviewed the bill, we would have left without noticing. Given how expensive the food already is, I wonder if they are adding this extra fee hoping people won’t notice.
I am not accusing the restaurant, it could have been a mistake or system error. However, the lack of explanation and the way it was handled makes it look suspicious. I strongly encourage all customers to carefully review their bills before paying.
