Standard diner breakfast done well, and they take credit cards now which is convenient. On a busy day we still got a seat quickly and service was good, refilling coffee and water.
Home fries are decent, I like how crispy the corned beef hash comes out. Eggs were done perfectly

A local diner on the main drag of Saratoga Springs. The food was good. It could have been a bit hotter, but taste was right on. A friendly local place, like we prefer when traveling. This is clearly popular with the locals, and they had a steady stream of door dash orders. Service was quick and excellent! Prices were fair.

After a friend visiting from Australia and another from Kentucky said good things about this place following their visits on Saturday, my wife and I put Compton’s in our sights for our shared Monday off breakfast date.
A cozy and comfortable joint welcomed us, and the great breakfast with fast & friendly service will definitely get us to come back. I’m a confessed bacon fanatic and I’m accustomed to disappointment, but not here – those sweet strips of meat candy were totally spot-on.
To totally top off our experience, the number on our tab was extremely reasonable. This breakfast was a home run in my book. Thank you, Compton’s!!

Just wow! To be Saratoga Springs is to know that there is a restaurant everywhere you look. As soon as I saw the old sign I knew this would be a delicious and comforting place. They serve a breakfast and lunch menu. I had a Western omelette that came with home fries and toast for$13 and my husband had a roast beef hotshot with fries for$12. The portions were generous and so yummy. The place was warm and unpretentious. The staff were friendly and accommodating. This will be my go to restaurant!

We eat here every time we are in Saratoga Springs. The food is always delicious and the staff is friendly. The prices are reasonable and the portions are quite big. Highly recommend Compton’s if you’re on Broadway in downtown Saratoga Springs.

WOW! This place was a find! Half way between NYC & our destination in Saranac Lake. Just looking for a quick bite before heading further up North. Food was amazingly fresh & delicious…especially the coleslaw! Place was filled with locals who all knew the staff and each other. Kind of Iike CHEERS but without Norm .
Cash only but with a handy ATM inside . There are many choices on Broadway in Saratoga Springs…but this is T.H.E. spot. It is definitely “Straight Outa Compton!”

For a little hole in the wall diner this place is amazing. They are super affordable and the food is so good you will want to come back more than once like me. The staff are all very nice. It is cash only but, worth the price and visit. I wish they were open more because I enjoy going so much!

Been coming here a while and this place was good because it knew exactly what it served at a reasonable price for it but they UPPED THEIR PRICES BY $3-5 per meal.
Now you’re getting raw home fries after asking for crispy. A dry over salted omelet resembling a scrambled egg and likely an incorrect order. All the price of $15.
When it was $8-10 all the other things were forgivable, but to care so little about quality and then to raise the prices so dramatically is upsetting. The omelets are so far from worth the $14 + $1.50 for cheese plus $1.50 for 5 pieces of veggies.
