This restaurant is excellent in all factors.
We were served by Niroshan and the service overall was exceptional and welcoming.
Most importantly, the food was great; a lovely authentic experience.
I’d recommend the hoppers, devil dishes and kottu as they were the highlight of the day. Also the shorteats were pleasant.
The atmosphere was ambient and peaceful and Sri Lankan music playing in the background provided the uplifting vibes as well.
The drinks here are amazing. We had faluda fruit juice and cocktails: Mango Machan (spicy and sour), Lychee Sangria and Lychee Empress.
Toilets are clean and in order.
Overall, we were very satisfied with the quality of the restaurant, the service and the cleanliness of Colombo Kitchen.

The food at Colombo Kitchen is really good, hot and fresh, great portions too. Highly recommend the kottu, both the chicken and mutton were really good, and the hopper dessert also delicious! The staff are also lovely (special thank you to Dinu!) We will definitely be going back soon

One of the top Sri Lankan food. The chef takes time to say hello to the table once food arrives on your table. And also got a chance to meet the owners of the place. Very humble.

We have just returned from a trip to Sri Lanka and the food bought back all the happy memories. What a great menu so much choice and variety.

Amazing restaurant: food and service. It was recommended by a Sri Lankan from work and we absolutely loved it. If I can be picky, I was with my wife and we were between 2 big tables so it was more on the “vibrant/loud” side than romantic (but the restaurant cannot anything about this). And we still had an amazing evening!!!

Was treated to Columbo kitchen by the family so we had a table booked for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was reasonably busy considering and we were seated pretty much immediately.
Service: I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, they were checking on us regularly and making sure all was good. The service was slightly slower than I would have liked but as the staff were friendly it was easy to overlook.
Food: the food was clearly fresh and tasty, I liked that they asked how spicy we wanted the food, Sri Lankan food is pretty spicy and I find other places don’t ask.
Atmosphere: very relaxed environment decor was nice and it’s was generally a clean restaurant.
Price: our bill came to about £200 for 5 people, I do feel it was a little overpriced but as I enjoyed the food and the team were great it is a bit more digestible.
Accessibility: we were lucky enough to find parking directly outside, that being said there is plenty of parking in the high street and side roads so it easy to get to.
This place is deserving of 5 stars but the slight delay in getting the food out and the price means I’ll give it a 4

We had a double birthday celebration in the family, and wanted to have an authentic Sri Lankan meal. We were not disappointed. We had hoppers to start with. They were light, crispy and delicious! Next we had seafood fried rice, crab curry, aubergine moju, cashews curry and fish ambul thiyal. Each dish was delicately spiced and cooked to perfection. We also had their signature kithhul cheesecake and chocolate biscuit pudding for dessert. All in all, a lovely meal, and topped by great, friendly service by Keshara.
