A nice place that takes you by surprise. It’s located next to a gas station, and it’s easy to miss it, so be sure to watch for it. That being said, it has an awesome outdoor seating area, with live music and a great atmosphere. The food is good, the place is clean, and the staff is friendly. I actually sat at the bar next to the owner and got to chat with him for a while, and it was ‘Spectacular.’ 🙂 If you haven’t been here, you should 100% give it a try.

Do not be afraid of the first impression. Yes, it is attached to a gas station. The food and service is top notch. We were told by another guest in our condo on our last visit to visit here and we did not make it. We had the Chicken Tortellini, Crab Cakes, Grouper with Teriyaki Rice and Shrimp Zoodles with a tomato cream reduction. We also had the seafood nahos which were really good. Our server and her trainee were very nice and funny. So glad we went to The Cockspur Grill. This place will get a visit from us every visit to Tybee. All of our dishes were on the daily special menu and were under $20 each. Those giant crab cakes were just $12!

Well, for dinner choice a local recommended this place, (must have been drunk.) Family of 10, place was full but took table on porch since it had cooled down. Hostess / waitress tried her best. Food came out slow and was terrible. Two in my party ordered steak dinners, which were overcooked and had such a burn taste could not eat. Brought it to owners attention and he just walked away. Every single item ordered was subpar. Avoid at all cost, I do not recommend.

Had some tuna for an app, very tasty. Had the crab cake sandwich special and it was awesome! So good I did not get a picture of it. Live music was a nice bonus!

Don’t let the front view discourage you ! This place has amazing food and entertainment! The sound system is amazing! You can eat drink and enjoy! Will be back for sure!

Special type of dive! Good food, service, and live music. Great patio if you want to sit outside. Not the tourist trap like most other places.

Looked like a “locals” place so thought we would try. All servers were friendly and attentive. My wife ordered shrimp and crab nachos which she enjoyed, I ordered hamburger with fries. The burger was about as bland as could be. My wife ordered one of their specialty cocktails which was undrinkable. Older crowd, and did have live music.

This place was hands down the best food during our stay on the Island. Our group of 15 was supposed to go to Crab Shack but we didn’t have time once we got off the Dolphin Cruise. So glad we had to change plans and ended up at Cockspur. Incredible staff, live music, full bar, and the food was wonderful. The best Ahi Tuna I ever had and my husband’s shrimp was perfectly cooked. Don’t let the front of the building fool you into not giving it a try.
