I thought I would try it for the first time. The food was disgusting. I asked the waitress where my enchilada was I picked up my taco it was hidden there I said where’s the red chili. They put a drizzle of can chilli sauce. The tostada was gross so was it tiny scoop of beans and rice. I told my son we were better off at Taco bell. Never going back don’t know why people go eat there especially my native people. I’m used to real chili’s with lots of chilli I’m sticking with Gordos and Jerry’s cafe

The service was fantastic – Mary was our primary server. Good chips and salsa (free). The chile relleno was awesome. Good enchiladas, rice, and beans. The steak was tasty and cooked to order, but it was over seasoned (salty). Next time I’ll ask for 1/2 seasonong. Beer and wine only. Reasonable.

We ate at Cocina de Dominguez for the first time and it was awesome! Everyone’s food was good, and we especially liked the chili cheese fries (Christmas style!) and the sopapillas, and the staff treated us like family. We’ll definitely go again the next time we drive through Gallup!

By far the best Mexican I’ve had in the entire state of New Mexico. That is one thing New Mexico lacks is good Mexican food. The food was great The service was amazing, dico a little outdated but it’s still good. The staff .. I can’t say enough good things about them.

My family ate dinner here last week and used a Dominguez $100 giftcard without issue. Three days later, the owner of Dominguez called them and told them that the giftcard wasn’t good and that they need to pay the $100 or the waitress will be on the hook for it. The owner told my family they already used the giftcard, which they absolutely have not. He then told them the giftcard was expired, but the giftcard doesn’t have an expiration date on it. First, the owner said the funds have already been used, and next he said its expired. Which is it? Looks to me like the owner is selling Dominguez restaurant giftcards that he isn’t honoring and is then calling customers to tell them they need to pay up and if noone pays up his waitstaff is responsible for it. What a scammer! You just lost loyal customers and I hope you lose more with your shady business practice.

A hidden gem as they say! The previous reviews are spot on with positivity. Food is superbly executed. Pricing is epicly economical. People don’t miss a beat and way friendly at a level that makes you wonder if you’ve been zapped to another dimension. Just see Lindsay, she rocked it! Beer & wine only but an ample selection. We are from the Phoenix area and will route our trips through Gallup anytime we can! Worth the tour off highway 40 in a quaint and quirky old town area. Get you some!

A local put us on to Dominguez which we might have otherwise never seen. The people are totally attentive and sweet. They make you feel welcome from greeting to when you leave. The Mexican food, which is all we had, was fabulous. The menu isn’t as large as some places, but I appreciate that. I’d rather a restaurant showcase what they do best than try to offer everything under the sun. The prices are great as well. Why are you still reading instead of heading over? I don’t think you can do better in Gallup.

Had a really tasty navajo taco. Service slow in getting going, but picked up once they took our order. It was near impossible to taste tequila in margaritas.

Food was good and arrived hot. Prices are reasonable, and portion size was good. The green chili is excellent, and we love the chili relleno. Staff was courteous and friendly and checked on us frequently. Our drinks were always filled, and the salsa and chips were also good. It is a quiet atmosphere with tables and plenty of booths if you prefer. Sofapillas are also delicious, but I do wish the butter came softened and not frozen. Other than that, this place is one we will definitely visit again.
