We enjoyed our meal here at Clyde’s. We sat outside on the picnic tables and a waitress came out and took our order. My wife got the mushroom Swiss burger basket and I got the fish sandwich. Both were good for fast food but nothing outstanding. The food came out fast and fresh. We are not from the area.

Every year I go camping in the upper Peninsula in October, and every year I make the pilgrimage to Clyde’s drive-in. I have dined at some of the best restaurants in country. Award-winning, Michelin starred, fine-dining establishments. Believe me when I say, the cheeseburger at Clyde‘s drive-in is the best cheeseburger in the United States of America, full stop.

We were impressed. Wasn’t really sure what to do when we first got there and read reviews that weren’t exactly flattering about the process, so we asked the server. She was great. Grab a menu, sit down or sit in your car. They keep good track of who is next in line and come get your order when it’s your turn. She walked us through ordering and toppings. We started at the tables but switched to our vehicle. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers, onion rings, a drink and a strawberry shake. The burgers were a nice size, great flavor, onion rings were tasty and crispy while the star was the strawberry shake… thank you all for the fantastic dinner tonight.

This was a fun littler burger joint. We dat inside at counter which was fun to watch them make your food, the burger is fresh people! Great burger and fries! I enjoyed the cheese curds but not all in our party did. Definitely worth a stop for lunch or dinner when in town.

Wonderful drive in! Service was great and polite. My husband loved his elk burger. The fried pickle chips and garlic parmesan fries were amazing! They have lots of picnic tables out front with umbrellas. There is a little bit of seating inside. They only serve you at your vehicle if you’re parked out front.

The Big C at Clyde’s is the best burger I’ve ever had. A little messy and we always split it, because it’s that big. We’ve been visiting this little gem of a dinner for over 20 years. It’s an institution. I want one now…

Manistique is not the Clyde’s to stop in at…not at 7:30 on a Friday night. No Shakes, already shut down for the night. The worst part was ordering a BLT and only having a slice of bacon on each half of sandwich, it was all lettuce- would have preferred to hear all out. Only saving grace was the fries and mushroom Swiss burger was hot and fresh.

Don’t blink or youll miss this diner right out of the 50’s. It is geared more towards the summer cloud, witess than 20 seats in the establishment. SO WORTH it. Can order just a sandwich, or 3 sides for one sandwich, really great selections.
My wife plain double cheese and loved it. As a side we got the curds. Being from Wisconsin, they had a bit of a hill to climb, but they were tasty.
I got the Big C… And I highly suggest not ordering if you have any intention of being productive after lunch. The food coma afterwards is no joke. Huge good flavor, patties and the onion and pickles (you choose the topings) just made it a fantastic food choice.
Highly recommended.

Stopped in on the way home. Got the cheeseburger, hot dog, fries and onion rings. All were great. Not sure what cheese they use but it’s rich and creamy.
