Last night I went with my husband to get food to feed 70 plus people. The caterer did not come through for the family event. I can say that the manager, and the whole staff was great and so professional. I love the great customer service and the quality of food was so top-tier, fresh and the fried chicken was fried to perfection. The sides: mashed potatoes, green beans, and peach cobbler were oh so good.
I will be forever grateful for how you came through. People do not sleep on this restaurant on Akron Drive.

We stopped to get gas while headed to Mount airy, and saw this place across the street! Got out and it smelled soooo good!
Best food we have had so far from Atlanta, Ga to here!! If your traveling this way make sure to pull in and get some lunch or dinner.

I hadn’t been in a while and they had so many options. The menu was clear although some items were seasonal which wasn’t stated. They were training a new hire which was very friendly. The food was good. I got the 10 piece wings, fries, corn, and peach cobbler which was really good. I also ordered the gizzards which were a bit salty to my liking but the texture was fine. Most of the staff was friendly. The orders were packed fast since most items are premade. My only complaint is the hairy chicken, which must be a staple since it hasn’t changed for years. The bathroom was clean but needs updating. Otherwise I had a nostalgic experience.

The sides are absolutely terrible!!! Worst Mac and cheese ever. It’s like they wanted to make spaghetti and then changed their minds. The turnip greens straight out of a van with no season, pinto beans salty. The only reason I’m giving it two stars because the chicken is pretty good, even though it was not hot. But I will not be back at all. Ever.

There’s nothing like getting their chicken right after it’s been dropped with some fresh wedges. I dip my wedges in the bar-b-q sauce.
The chicken isn’t greasy. I was turned on to it years ago while working in Winston Salem selling insurance. Been about 20 years hitting the Akron dr location there.
Great place to order wings for your events if u are in the area. There can be a line. Churches seem to order from their frequently.
They’re known for their Winston Wings however I will grab a breast and wedges and roll out!
All in all, try it out when u in the area. Not 5 star dining g but it is good chicken and my fave…their wedges

Chicken was wet.. not “juicy” but wet! Potatoes were okay. Slightly soggy but fine. The tea was sour, from the day before!! Ranch is cheap trash! Lastly, if I order 16 wings why do you give me 3 wings and 13 drums..??!!?????? We won’t

The chicken tasted great and was affordable. The customer service was top-notch as they took care of me quickly. The atmosphere inside wasn’t the best as it’s a very old building that could’ve been cleaner. However, the atmosphere would’ve been a bigger issue had I dined in. I recommend them as one of the best chicken spots in Winston Salem.

I know this is going to spark a debate, but their wings up in the top 3 in the city of Winston Salem. Depending on how hungry you are, there are 3 different specials to choose from. They have other items on the menu, but the wings are where it’s at.

The chicken was very crispy and tender, but the potato wedges were greasy and soggy as if they were fried on too low of a heat. I had to come back home to air fry the wedges to make then crispy. The Mac and cheese is not the Mac and cheese you would expect. It is wannabe pasta with tomato sauce and a layer of melted cheese crust without any seasonings. Would go back for the wings/chicken, but not the sides. This location was very busy around 3PM on a Saturday. The decor/seating inside took me back to a different decade.

Nothing is as good as it is to be, but dag mountain fried! It was Dry….overdone… not fresh and seasoned with just salt. I refused to throw away almost 20$, so I hooked it up with some bbq n put it in the oven.
