We were totally bummed that both of our Smith Island cakes did not include all 9 layers! We ordered the Mandarin Orange which only had 5 layers and the Strawberry which only had 6 layers. After reaching out to the shop, their response was that Smith Island cakes vary from 5-9 layers, however this is not stated anywhere on their website, and was also not communicated to us at the time we purchased over the phone. In my opinion these are not true Smith Island cakes and we were very disappointed 🙁

Oh my goodness, one of my best friends got me the chocolate peanut butter Smith Island cake. It was amazing. I highly recommend this place. I’ve had their Red Velvet Smith Island cake and that was amazing as well. You can’t go wrong.
