Wonderful local restaurant. Staff is friendly and welcoming making the service top notch. Food is excellent, and the Catfish is some of the best I’ve had. Lemon pasta with shrimp is also one of my favorites. Dog friendly patio, and games on the TV but with the sound off making it comfortable for conversation and a pleasant meal.

We took a drive up Signal Mountain to try a restaurant we’d never visited before, and Civil Provisions turned out to be a great choice. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by both the quality of the food and the service.
We started with the whipped feta appetizer, which was outstanding—I could’ve easily made a meal out of it alone. The portion was generous enough that we even took some home.
For dinner, we ordered the chicken alfredo and the spaghetti and meatballs, and both were excellent. The chicken alfredo featured penne pasta with spinach and sun-dried tomatoes, adding a rich and flavorful twist to a classic dish. The spaghetti and meatballs was equally impressive, with meatballs made from veal and pork that were full of flavor and perfectly cooked.
We skipped dessert only because we were completely full. Finally, a special mention goes to our server, Morgan. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and offered great recommendations throughout the evening. If you visit, I’d highly suggest asking for her.
We’ll definitely be back—and we already know who we want waiting on us next time.

Ordered medium rare steak, not well done. Unfortunately spent 70$ on food that was rather disappointing.
Food was all lukewarm or cold by the time it was delivered. Hopefully food in house is better than delivery as this was a big let down and a waist of money.

Our server, Morgan was knowledgeable regarding the food and made perfect suggestions.

I’ve been a few times and every time the service, food, and environment is fantastic. The bartender, clara, was very kind and attentive during my last visit. I’ve had several items from their menu, including a burger and pizza, and everything has been high quality and worth the price. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice and affordable meal.

Service was good and reservation process was easy. Atmosphere is pretty good. Food was good, but the current menu didn’t have anything we’re excited about having again. We still talk about the crab cakes from the original menu. Friends commented about the fantastic artisan cocktails. Higher price, great food presentation, delish key lime pie. We will go back after menu changes again in a couple weeks. The patio area is good size.

Our server was Morgan. What a ray of sunshine. She was so much fun and funny. She made the experience more like lunch and a show. She’s very entertaining. When we come back, AND we will be back, she’s our girl. The food was fabulous. The Whipped Feta appetizer was melt in your mouth fabulous. The gyro was excellent as was the meatball sub. Can’t wait to try the dinner menu. Watch out Morgan you’ve been forewarned the Peek’s WILL be back.

We were not as impressed with Civil Provisions and Bar as we hoped we would be, unfortunately. The drinks were ok,the espresso martini was better than the Green River Gorge. The food was subpar but adequately priced. We only ordered a hummus appetizer and one of the “Roman Inspired Pizzas.” Because we weren’t very excited about either of those dishes we decided not to order anything else. The hummus appetizer tasted like normal hummus and the veggies/ pita to dip were regular… good, not great. The Roman pizza was more like a thick piece of bread with some pesto, cheese, and arugula slapped on. Few artichokes on the pizza. Definitely did not scream pizza to us in any way. Tasted mostly like whatever kind of bread it was. We sat outside so we didn’t really experience the inside atmosphere. It looks nice inside. Hopefully everything will improve with time.

I dined here the night of 1/31/26. The food has upscale airport restaurant vibes. I’d happily pay that price if I were kicking off a luxury vacation I’d planned months in advance—but for a Chattanooga date night, it didn’t quite justify the cost. The service was lacking. When my boyfriend stepped away after leaving his card with the check, the server asked for my permission to run it and again to approve the tip on the tablet. I’ve never experienced that before, and it felt awkward. I won’t be back and wish I had listened to the locals who warned me to avoid this place.
