Wow! Our first visit and thoroughly enjoyed it as we celebrated a family member’s birthday. Appetizers are large enough to share. We ordered 4 for 6 people and it was MORE than enough. We tried the Nashville hot nachos, fried pickles, pretzel bites, and the (OUTSTANDING)crab fondue. See pics of apps and entrees. I had the shrimp tacos which are generous in amount of shrimp; not typical skimpy at all. Burgers are plentiful as was the wrap. Next visit, we want to try one of the smoked items. Highly recommend trying a beer flight. I did fruity flight and it’s not for everyone, but it was perfect for me. The pear cider was quite tasty. Outstanding service from Emily and will request her section when we return. Large screens for sports viewing was great and it was also Trivia night and that just added some extra laughter at our table. Great place!

We had the best experience at City Works Wheeling! We got a beer flight, spicy pineapple margarita, and some tasty appetizers! The margarita was one of the best I’ve had in a long time, spicy, sweet, and tangy. We got the pretzel bites with beer cheese, duck nachos, and the bbq chicken flatbread. Everything was hot and delicious. The crispy duck nachos were fantastic with all the toppings, it was sweet and spicy and crunchy. The service was outstanding, we had the best waiter. The atmosphere is chill but upscale, we absolutely loved it for date night. Get the donuts if you have room for dessert!! So light, and airy and the dipping sauces were both heavenly.

We had the chicken tinga tacos, the fried chicken sandwich and the Cajun linguine. The linguine definitely had a kick to it but it was good. The tacos were great and chicken sandwich was fried harder than I like but still ok. The fries had way too much salt hence the 3 star. The atmosphere was great as well as the service. Overall rating 4.

Let’s start with the positive. First off, this is in a very cool shopping area with plenty of parking and other fun things to do. The restaurant has a very cool ambiance and a great selection or food and beverages (their beer selection is outstanding). Although the sever was nice, there wasn’t much effort to get our drinks, food, order, or check to us in a timely manner. We ordered drinks and appetizers and waited over 20 minutes until she came back to take our dinner order. Not once did she come over and ask us how our meal was, which was fantastic btw. The Parmesan crusted sirloin with fingerling potatoes and cream corn were amazing. It took forever to get our check, I was a server in my youth, so when I lie that down on the table after a guest asks for it, I know to go back quickly. We waited for 15 minutes for her to return to pay it. I know help is hard to find and everyone is taking on more responsibility, but make us feel like a priority please. We can allocate our money anywhere, we chose your restaurant. I’d give this place 5 stars if the service was better.

Our experience was one we won’t forget! We got the smoked wings, cheese curds, and the freshest burger I’ve had in a while, if you like spicy get the scorpion burger! We ordered the cranberry mojitos and they were mixed amazingly well. Our server Joe took care of us quickly and efficiently, when we got our food, We took the first bite and it was second to none. We had such a great experience that we wanted to compliment the Executive Chef on-site his name was Sergio Torres. What a great guy! He was so welcoming and it was such a great opportunity to get to say our thanks to him as well. He assured us he would be here to welcome us next time. I would highly recommend to visit for your next outing, City Works is just the place we have been looking for to go out and eat at regularly for quite a while.

Good food but, for the franchise to know that we know, many of the same ingredients are used throughout the offerings, which makes many dishes sort of taste the same. The cooks nevertheless do a great job with everything they have to work with. For example, the duck nachos are never soggy!

Went here last night (Sunday) at 515. The place was not fully packed, but only a few open tables. We ended up at the bar with Sean as our server. They are known for serving small plates, but the servings were not small by any means. Bbq chicken flat bread was great!! Tried fried pickles, which I didn’t think I would like but loved them. My date was eating the shrimp fondue, which she loved. Sean made the experience the solid 5 stars as we chatted and laughed together. Overall, it was a very pleasant evening. Ended up with plenty of leftovers from the not so small servings…..

Sean McCormick is the reason I’m convinced to write my first ever google review. That man is officially my group’s favorite part about City Works followed by the happy hour flights and amazing food! Had a truly amazing time at this place and enjoyed the service and the vibes set by Sean who made sure we had a fantastic night! City Work’s got a gem right there – always ask for Sean!
