We just moved to Medina a couple weeks ago upon reviewing this establishment very clean Bathroom 10/10 Food was very filling and tasteful no complain complaints over here. Recommend 100%. And most importantly very welcoming, especially with letting me taste test foods

My daughter and I visited to “try a new place” and we will, absolutely, be back. The staff was kind and delightful. The food portions were perfect (love having leftovers when it’s delicious).
Ordered dine-in and takeout (to take home too). It was very well prepared and packaged. I appreciate that.

I ordered the brisket sandwich with Texas toast. I asked the lady to make sure the brisket was extra fatty so it was tender.
This is what I was given. It was more akin to brisket jerky. So dry. And tough. So I ate my Texas toast, which was ok. But the brisket ended up in the garbage minus my one bite.
The manager was in a hurry to order his pizza and get home, so I didn’t even bother asking for a refund.
Brisket is expensive– and to not even be able to eat is not fun, especially when you’re starving like I was.
This place used to be awesome. Now it’s very much hit or miss on what you can expect.
There’s better, more consistent, places to get brisket. I’ll go where I know I can count on it being good.

City BBQ rocks! The food is amazing and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The portions are generous and the price is reasonable for real slow smoked BBQ. I am impressed with how good the brisket and wings are. I try to stop at the Medina location at least once a week. Thanks again for always being an awesome place to stop for lunch.

The service was fast and friendly and the place was clean. The food was not that good though and seemed expensive for what you got. We got the pulled pork sandwiches and some of the meat on the sandwiches was tough and the meat kept falling off the sandwich as we ate it. The meat was plain and bland too, so I used a lot of bbq sauce. The baked beans had stringy meat in them and the sauce was way too thick and pasty. The corn pudding seemed to just be cornbread crumbled into a little paper bowl.

I’m from Kansas City, so I know BBQ. I frequently travel to Medina, OH and Greensboro, NC and anytime I am in either city I try to have a meal at City BBQ.
Tonight my family was in Medina and ate at City. As always, we were not disappointed! The meats (we had 4 different kind) were all moist and flavorful! The sides were perfection. The sauces are some of my favorites.
On top of it all, it seems that the staff is always the icing on the cake – so friendly!

Great BBQ I didn’t have high hopes with a chain restaurant but this place blew my mind great beef and pork a great choice of sauces and their more cowbell sandwich and brisket sandwich are great choices and they have a kids menu also and their new pastrami loaded fries are addictive and my new favorite food

Good menu with standard Barbeque offerings. Visited twice, pulled pork is nice quality as are the ribs. Brisket was tasty. Everything was a bit salty(especially smoked sausage). Sides and portions good, didn’t try desert. Excellent service and all food was fresh and hot. Will dine here again.

Impressive quality considering it’s BBQ and most places you don’t find moist and juicy meats. Not the case with this place as everything we had was cooked perfectly and fresh! Plenty of options with both meat and sides (baked beans were my favorite) and the Mac n cheese to be honest was bland, but not bad and perhaps tasty for others. “I prefer super cheesy taste” they serve Pepsi products so at least you can have Mountain Dew, indoor and outdoor seating available, drive thru, plenty of parking (restaurant is smaller than most other places) clean inside and out with excellent service from friendly people!

My husband and I had a great date night at City Barbecue! The food was awesome! We enjoyed the brisket, ribs and chicken! We had baked beans, mac and cheese and green beans! It was all very good! Different sauces to try! Wilson took our order and he was very helpful since we told him we had not been to City Barbecue before! We also had the banana dessert and it was excellent! Looking forward to going to City Barbecue again soon!
