We started off with chips very thin. And our dinners came in a reasonable amount of time. The only problem was later that night diarrhea. All the next day which is today my stomach is growling and and hurt all day. So something that was in that meal was spoiled and gave me food poison. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody and we going back good thing I don’t live in Willard.

THE place to go for Mexican food! My wife and I absolutely LOVE going here for date night dinner. It honestly can’t be more than 5 minutes from the time you walk in until your food is in front of you. Everything is always fresh and tasty. We also get the $5.99 margaritas and can’t have more than two apiece without having someone come pick us up. The service is always fast and friendly and we never have any complaints!

The food here was okay but not the best.

The bathrooms were really dirty. My wife said the women’s room was so bad she wouldn’t go. So I stood guard while she went to the boy’s room.

The sink in the men’s room wouldn’t drain.

Stopped by for a quick lunch, plenty of parking in the lot out front. The food came out quickly. The staff was attentive.

Good food, prompt service! The Burrito Suizo was delicious! Chicken, steak, and shrimp (there was plenty of shrimp inside!) topped with white cheese sauce. Wish there had been a little more sauce, and when I got the burrito it was warm, but not exactly hot. Still, I really liked it, and would get it again. Lots and lots of choices on the menu!

I have been going here for years and unfortunately it’s deteriorated. There are not many personally owned restaurants in Willard. Employees being able to communicate is important. Making accommodations for people with special diets, food allergies etc should be easy. Today I tried to order a side of rice with fajita vegetables and the gentleman at the counter looked at me and shook his head and said “No”. I planned on ordering more food. I walked out and won’t be back. Sad.

Good food, fast service. A gem in a small town. Delicious.

Very poor food quality aside from the chips and salsa which they do very well. The carne asada was rubber and way overdone, the queso was cold, the guacamole had a yellowish brown tint and then twice the amount of diced tomatoes as avocado, the rice was overcooked and then brought out cold, the beans were old and cold and smothered in cold cheese. I was really unimpressed with the service too. I felt like $56 plus tip, I should have had a better experience all around. I will be going elsewhere for my Mexican American food from this point forward.

Margaritas… to go?? Get’em while you can I guess, lol. Or don’t, that would probably be better. Saw margaritas advertised on the white board in the lobby priced at $6.99 “to go”, $4.99 in-house. The chips were fresh, the salsa tasted like ketchup. The lunch fajitas were priced high for the slim portion ($10). The server didn’t speak English, and I don’t speak Spanish so there was a noticeable communication barrier. Service was fairly quick, the food was good. Good location for a weekday lunch, maybe not a family destination – definitely not your first date if you’re hoping for a second!

Continuously more impressed each visit by the staff and food at El Venero! I have a large aversion to anything with beans in it and they are always so accommodating when I ask for no beans in my meal. The margaritas are spot on and absolutely delicious! All of the servers are great but a special shout out to Seven who is amazing! Can’t wait to go back again. Would definitely recommend a stop here for anyone in the area!
