Aluk came to check on us after a few minutes and took the time to answer some questions about the menu (since it was my first time having Indian food). He was well knowledgeable on what they serve and his suggestions were top notch.
I had the chicken Kahdai, husband had the chicken tandoori sizzler, the onion bhaji and garlic naan. Delicious. It was delightfully spicy. It was piping hot fresh!
Its absolutely worth the try if you’re in the area and want to try something new.
I started with the vegetable samosas, which were clearly both freshly made, and a labor of love. They were perfectly tapered on each end, and their fried dough, coming apart in a flaky crust, was delectable. They were filled with a kind of pureed vegetable paste: though they weren’t remarkably flavorful, they were well-heated throughout. They were served with two sauces: both were good, but I preferred the red sauce.
Next were the masala fries, a unique and interesting offering. Though they were served without a dipping sauce, I’m not sure they needed one: the fries were very flavorful and well-seasoned on their own. They were served scalding hot and were oddly addictive.
Finally, the main course came: Lamb Bhuna, with a side of Garlic Naan, with a plateful of rice to mix it on. The lamb itself was amazingly tender and delicious, as was the sauce it was served with. The whole meal was served at a medium spice level, which made my normal nose run: I went through three of the table napkins. The entire meal had a familiar, nostalgic taste that made me long for an Indian home I’ve never visited. It’s a home I wouldn’t mind visiting again.
Alok, along with the entire staff, brought a lot of great customer service and care. Alok helped me decide on a vegetarian dish to try and even remembered later that I prefer plant-based in helping direct me for the future!
He and the entire staff smiled the entire time we were dining and checked in on us multiple times.
The cuisine is extraordinary, the atmosphere is calm and clean, and the staff is friendly! This place is one I would highly recommend!
