Ciders From Mars offerings vary from single-varietal cider classics to modern blends and fruit forward co-ferments with auxiliary Virginia fruits. Nikki lends her scientific and artistic biases to production and exploration of the cider space. In 2021 Ciders From Mars is opened to the community in Staunton, VA on May 29, 2021. The space houses a combination production and lab space with a tap-room, and outdoor deck seating, ultimately cultivating a communal center around cider, art, and music.

We were told that we had to check this place out while we were in town. Plus we could eat our food inside and bring our dog without any issues. Both of those things were true, which was a great find.
Neither one of us are usually big cider fans though, so we weren’t sure what to expect. Ultimately, the bartender is what won us over. He was exceptionally knowledgeable about their ciders and their craft cider cocktails, as well as where they source their ingredients. We really loved that!
He let us try a few different ciders first, which we appreciated. I ended up going with the Hues, which is made from crab apples, and my husband got the Shady Lady. We both enjoyed them and they weren’t nearly as sweet as we figured they would be. Great flavor profiles and more dry. I decided to try one of their cider cocktails after that and definitely wasn’t disappointed. Overall, a great find in Staunton!

My parents and I were visiting from out of town and decided to stop in this unique cidery in the historic downtown area. From the moment we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised at how inviting, airy, and trendy the vibe was here. We truly enjoyed our conversation with the kind server who was so friendly and engaging. We opted to try a flight of ciders, each with a different twist on flavors. Super fun! It was hard to choose my favorite one since they were all good and unique. It was overall a great experience.

This place is PHENOMENAL!! The staff are knowledgeable and VERY friendly! They offered great suggestions regarding the flights and even food that was available in the area. I had one of the greatest evenings of my life here! What a GREAT atmosphere and there is an awesome selection of Ciders. The employees (Beth, and unsure of the other lady’s name) we’re super attentive and knowledgeable with everything they offered. What a GREAT experience and such a fun time! I cannot wait to return! I LOVE this place! Highly recommended!!

As you may know I’m just a bourbon guy, the misses though, loves her some ciders. this was our first stop and all I can say is that She loved the cider flight! what I can personally attest to is the super chill vibe and the awesome staff of this establishment! these guys were very cool and helped send us on our way of places we should check out from there personal opinion, something I value and am quite grateful for when humans decide to show this hospitality. So yes, if ciders are your jam, stop in and indulge! and grab some great merch as well

I was with a group of friends for a birthday. We were given permission to move the couches to accommodate everyone. Staff is great, especially the bartender. I felt very comfortable there.

Felt like the place was still getting started. Some construction and spaces not fully built out. We all did cider flights….and while it was good, the whole experience was pretty monotone. The ciders had their own subtleties, but four different ciders all blended together. Next time I would just order a bottle…not a flight. The staff was the best part, they were all upbeat and witty.

Nice selection of ciders and a couple other drinks. Few snacks available for purchase, but they also tend to invite food trucks and dining is available nearby. Great stop after a farmer’s market run!
