I took the Blues trail from Memphis to Leland. I was on Hwy 61 and there wasn’t a decent restaurant open in Clarksdale, MS (lunch time) so I kept traveling. Finally, after viewing Hwy 61 Blues Museum, Mr. Billy Johnson (tour guide and curator) informed me of this restaurant.
They didn’t open until 5pm but I was allowed to sit in lobby for 20 minutes until. The service, food and atmosphere were excellent. The staff was very friendly and I felt very comfortable. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is very spacious.
I ordered the pork with seasoned fries instead of coke slaw, potato salad and beans. This was some of the BEST pulled pork I have ever had and the servings were more than enough! Mr. Johnson stated that everything on the menu is very good and that he and his wife go often.
I highly recommend dining at this restaurant if in the area.

I’ve been eating at Cicero’s for years. Although I’m no longer living in the area, I visit with relatives whenever I’m in the area. The philly steak sandwiches use to be amazing, but I’ve been disappointed on my last couple of tries. On this visit, I decided to switch things up and try the fried catfish. I requested 2 pieces fried crispy because they provide rather large pieces of fish. The fish was fried to my liking but could have used a tad more seasoning. I typically like more salt, but the other guest thought it was perfect. It normally comes with a side salad and a side, but I requested 2 orders of coleslaw instead. It was really good! We were also offered hot, fresh bread which was a nice surprise. The hot tamales had good flavor, but I would have liked more meat on the inside. There was just too much breading.

As for the restaurant itself, the side room is newly remodeled compared to the main dining area. There are really cool wall hangings on the walls that will definitely keep the conversation flowing.

Very unique place and delicious food. It is not possible to find this quality and freshness of food in that area. They are doing great.

I love ciceros fried catfish dinner plates & theyre amazing, cooked to perfection steaks. I love the people you encounter there as well as the owners and staff. Everyone is always smiling! The perfect place for a lunch date or better yet an evening date. Their portobello mushrooms are to die for!!

Cicero’s is a genuine hidden gem. Whenever I am in the area for work I make sure I stop by and grab lunch here. The staff is always friendly, and makes you feel like you’re at an old friend’s house. The food is always phenomenal. Good portions of main course and side dishes. I can’t say I’ve had anything here I did not genuinely enjoy eating, and I will definitely be coming back the next time I’m nearby.

We came right at the opening. We ordered the grilled pork chop and grilled redfish. The fish was tough, as if it was days old. The sides on both plates were nice. Just the choice of serving fish that was that dry and tough was questionable about the care put into the freshness of the food served.

Service was good, but had a very limited lunch menu that didn’t have any prices listed. Meal was okay, the coleslaw is AMAZING but the fries came out just saturated in oil (the oil used in the frier definitely was no where near hot enough).
