Let’s start off by saying I was a little skeptical on reading some of the reviews about floppy and doughy pizza. NY style is my favorite! Large slices, crispy undercarriage, and great crust. However that was probably the farthest from the truth. I decided on two stars as the flavor wasn’t to bad. The pizza was super floppy and very doughy and chewy. The picture is a medium slice. The large is way worse. Definitely not as thin as a traditional NY slice and like I mentioned before the flavor isn’t bad. I was pretty surprised on the phone when they told me the wait was going to be over an hour and a half. That’s a good sign right? To my surprise there was one lonely person sitting in the corner and the rest of the store was empty, mind you I don’t know the workload or their order list. Just my observations. On a positive note, the staff seemed very friendly and helpful. Which is great.

I’ll just say it for everyone born on the East coast. You have disgraced Frank cibelli’s Name by charging $119 for three pizzas and his ghost will haunt you for the rest of your days with his italian fire. $119 for three pizzas is absolutely absurd even in this economy and you are gouging the Bend residence in the most non East Coast fashion that I can imagine. The traditional 15% markup that used to be is now dead and so is pizza for the average US consumer. No East coaster would ever charge $119 for three pizzas in ANY economy. Youre a bunch of thieves. Any true Italian would rather uprise against the federal government that in charge more than $2 a slice and you know it. Whats next? Fake meat pizzas? Thia markup is shameful and disgraceful. The pizza is not that good… and it is not true to the east coast way, as I am from New Jersey myself. Cibelli’s has become greedy and has abandoned the East Coast respect for pizza culture….for the sake of pocketing tech bro money. Poor behavior. So poor. Your owners need to STARE endlessly at themselves in a mirror long and hard. You should remove the “New York Made” label IMMEDIATELY. Just say “yuppie born and sythetically cultured via appropriation” from now on. You have sacrificed your honor for profit. I give you 2 stars out of respect for what you use to be. But we Tri State folk reject and denounce you. You have betrayed the name of your founder. Enjoy your yupster profits knowing your founder would haunt you in regret until the end of time. Shame shame shame.

As far as pizza goes in Bend, this is one of the top 3. In addition to full pizzas, they have slices available and also a nice selection of salads. The consistency of the food is not 100% perfect but much better than average. A favorite is the “meat lover” with pepperoni, sausage and bacon. The crust is strictly New York style so don’t expect anything else but they do it well. You can eat at the restaurant and one of my pictures shows visually the size of the pizzas. The giant pizza is big so have them double cut it, especially if you have kids.

Cibellis used to be one of my favorite pizza places in town, and when I moved away, became a rare treat when I return to visit friends and family. However between an increase of price and decrease of quality, I don’t think I’ll be ever going back. Got a medium pizza from here that was so mediocre, that i can honestly say I would have preferred a $5 pizza from the frozen section of a super market or even from a certain chain known for cheap low quality pizza pizza. For the price, actually, I could have bought five pizzas of the same size from the frozen section. Maybe other locations are better, but I don’t know.

Let me start with this, this Cibelli’s makes the best pizza of all of them. However, you may or may not be able to stop by and get a slice of pizza because they, confusingly, seem to “run out of slices.” I was lucky today to get a few, but sitting here waiting I have watched 8 people come in and get turned away due to a lack of pizza availability. Taste and quality wise 5 stars, internal decision making is the reason for my 3 stars.

Live in Bend, from New York so I feel there’s a misrepresentation of your style. Reading other reviews now I see I’m not alone. Very soggy, floppy, and very few Pepperoni’s on the pepperoni pizza. Some pieces had only 1, at the most 2-3. Plus myself and partner have been sick to stomach all day. Sorry won’t be back, fortunately there is great consistent pizza in town. I’ll never understand why people open any restaurant and don’t stay involved to ensure quality product is served.
