Greeted politely and seated quickly. The salsa that was brought out with the chips and some unidentifiable white sauce was watery. All protien, but the fajita chicken, are already marinated, leaving no room to accommodate for someone who has an allergy. Disappointing to say the least.

Not sure if they have side items, but there aren’t any listed on the menu. The fajita chicken was dry and tasteless. The chuychanga was severely lopsided with the ratio of filling to tortilla. Way too much tortilla for the amount of filling.

Rice and beans underseasoned. The guacamole looked like pureed baby food. And needed salt.

The waitress, Lily, greeted us and took our drink order. She then felt it was more important to clean and sanitize the booth next to ours, before seeing if we were ready to order.

Their chips are their best item. It’s obvious that alcohol deadened taste buds are how they’ve stayed in business since 1982. Better Mexican food at Taco Bell.

We met our son and daughter-in-law here for his birthday, he picked it. This was mine and my wife’s first time eating here. The food was GREAT! I had the chicken fajita quesadilla and let me tell ya, their tortillas are the best ever. The rice and beans have more flavor than any I’ve had at a Mexican restaurant before. We tasted our daughter-in-law’s Relleno, deep fried stuffed Anaheim peppers, and they are great. These things are lightly coated and fried golden brown, and not greasy at all, with just a touch of heat on the backside. Our server, Elizabeth, did a wonderful job. She kept our chip bowl and drinks full, but didn’t hover over us. In a nutshell great service and lots of flavor in the food. We will be back soon.

First and last time there. The food arrived 45 minutes later. The simple margaritas we ordered that were the lemon ones were made with fake lemon. I asked the waitress if they had any with real fruit and she said no. Not to mention that all his food seemed to come out frozen directly to our table very bad experience.

Location: Chuy’s
Dunwoody / Perimeter, GA
Date of incident: November 22, 2025

On November 22, 2025, I ordered takeout from this Chuy’s location for myself, my two children, and a friend. The order included chicken and beef enchiladas with refried beans.
While eating, I discovered a foreign object that appeared to be a balled-up napkin or paper material embedded inside the refried beans, completely concealed by the food. This was not visible until I had already begun eating. My children and my friend also consumed food from the same order before the issue was discovered.
This experience was extremely upsetting and has caused me ongoing anxiety about eating out, especially when ordering food for my children or sharing meals with others. Finding a foreign object inside prepared food is alarming and raises serious concerns about food handling and safety.

I am posting this review to make others aware and to encourage better food safety practices at this location. I hope management takes this seriously so another family or customer does not experience the same situation.

Amazing atmosphere. I loved the door handles as much as the food. The service was excellent and fast. Smiles on every face. The staff looked happy to be there and it shows with the service.

Chuy’s is a top choice! If I am in Marietta or San Antonio. Lots of options for a meal, a small bite or just with a quick drink with friends.

I went here today with my son for the first time. The food was not tasty at all head a very bland and generic taste. It was like the Olive Garden of Mexican restaurants… The real reason I’m giving a complaint is that about 1 hour after we visited, my son and I both got violently ill. I literally puked out the car door sitting at a red light, And my son vomited as soon as we got home. There were zero customers at this restaurant when we were there. Now I see why. I would never go back to this restaurant. Bad tasting food that Literally poisoned us. The one positive is that the waiter was incredible super super nice guy and very attentive. And the atmosphere is nice in there. But again I would not go..

I never thought I would be saying this. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Chuy’s today. I ordered lunch online for a specific time (4:10) because I was going to be close to the restaurant at that specific time. I have ordered Chuy’s To Go many times and never had any issues until today. I was 5 minutes past the scheduled time (4:15) getting to the restaurant. I checked in immediately as requested and ended up calling when I had been sitting for several minutes. The young lady said she was finishing putting it together. I sat there for 15 minutes total waiting for my food. It should have already been ready. Now, I understand that restaurants get busy but there is absolutely no reason to have to wait that much longer after the order time, not to mention that there were no cars in the parking lot. I will say there were 3 other cars waiting for To Go. I submitted it an hour earlier than I needed it. The young lady didn’t even tell me why it was late and gave a pretty sad apology. Having worked in restaurants before (including Chuy’s), the courteous thing to do should have been to call me to let me know that it was going to be late. I would have just canceled the order.

Love the child and salsa – so light and refreshing. I also really love the way they cook the steak on the fajitas. When I’m not that hungry, I’ll get the fajita tacos which use the same awesome steak. The outdoor patio is really nice in spring and fall, even as the repair might creep into the uncomfortable realm they have heaters and fans depending on what you need. And one of the smartest items for outdoor dining, they have a small box in the table for things that might blow away. We try to eat outside whenever we can, in large part because they make it such a good experience.
