Churrascaria is the name used to describe a restaurant that serves meat, mostly grilled, and a Rodizio style restaurant uses the method of serving different cuts of meat that originated in the south of Brazil in the early 1800s. The concept is to serve a wide variety of different cuts of meat including, beef, pork, lamb, chicken, etc; in succession to each diner individually right at their table, thus there is not a traditional menu. Churrascaria Plataforma is the authentic NYC rodizio style restaurant that features an all you can eat fixed price with continuous table-side service.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The ambiance was beautiful, and the staff was welcoming and attentive. During Restaurant Week, they offered a $60 dinner with an Unlimited Salad bar featuring delicious options. The variety of meats cooked to your preference kept coming as long as your card was green. The choice between Tiramisu and Keylime Pie for dessert was a delightful ending. While drinks weren’t included, they were excellent and reasonably priced. The only downside was that they only allowed the dessert to go, which felt wasteful. Overall, I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

One of the things I liked the most was that they made the feijão tropeiro on the spot, it came warm and reminded me of home (BH). The meat is definitely delicious! The coalho cheese is to die for, perfect! And I have to say that the heart of palm made me go to heaven! The service was spectacular, all the people were super friendly (they don’t even seem to be Brazilians in NY hahaha). I’ve been to Fogo de Chão. and without a doubt the Platform has become my new point! Do you know what I wanted? The good old Malzebier (which is not the bitter Xingu), who knows, maybe you can insert it in the menu? I really enjoyed it and will be back!

The wait staff was awesome. The food was alright. I liked the salad bar, had to ask staff for type of dressing because it was not labeled. When the meat was coming around, although I was asked level of doneness I wanted. Most often times I didn’t get it because while the were carving a piece it wasn’t what I wanted so I made due. I got an order of white rice with black beans. The rice was very dry, like it was sitting there for a while. I left the side dishes alone.

The scene of meat and low quality buffet for not so reasonable price. This is definitely not my kind of restaurant. It’s a place to experience meat cut in front of you and don’t expect much.

The buffet definitely needs an upgrade. I felt like for the size of the place, the buffet can have twice the variety. The meat was decent and the service was really fast. Did not need to wait for food at all. Overall it was decent experience. The price is a bit too much for the overall experience. I would have preferred improved food over lower prices

Food is ok but it’s over priced. Check clothes for meat oils and don’t leave until they solve the cloth stain (if you have). There are better for about $50. Watch for extra fees. Desert is extra $$

It’s ok to try but not impressive, not too much choices but serve quick. Avoid the lamp unless you are lamp lover. Salad bar is good. It’s hard to tell good or not unless you tried Fogo e Chão. Good experience tho.
