What can I say? The food was absolutely delicious and so fresh. The warm tea paired well with the dishes ordered.
The service was excellent, and the decor is that of a traditional Asian restaurant. Seating is offered in the open or in semi-private booths. The menu is displayed in English and Korean. If you like Korean or Japanese food, this restaurant is a must try. It’s located in a shopping plaza; therefore, plenty of parking is available. Pricing is $$, and depending upon your appetite, your meals may be $15 – $75 for a party of (2). The korean and English languages were spoken by our servers, and they were very helpful with explanations of the menu dishes and how they are prepared/served/eaten. Please note: This is a dine-in restaurant. Takeout and delivery service is also available.

The brisket and marinated beef were juicy, flavorful, and grilled to perfection. Loved the banchan variety, and the Doenjang-jjigae (soybean stew) was super comforting and came out bubbling hot. btw this place is pricy $$

They also serve cold noodles—perfectly chewy and refreshing—and brought us a free Korean yogurt drink at the end, which was such a cute touch! The restaurant has private booth seating, traditional decor, and a cozy vibe. Friendly service and fair pricing for the quality. Highly recommend for a chill Korean BBQ night!

Amazing authentic food, but the wait staff pressured us to order too much food. We had been there before and saw that the 4-person set could feed 5-6 people. We ordered enough for our group of 22, but the staff kept coming by every 5 minutes to ask if we were ordering more until we ordered an extra 4-person set. We left with 9 to-go boxes. They also kept pressuring my korean friend despite it clearly being myself ordering and paying for the group

I’ve been eating Korean food for over 30 years. I’ve had it homemade, across the world and this great nation.

As Korean BBQ is “finally” becoming more and more popular I have even more chances now to check them all out. 😉

This one located at the Super H Mart is really good. Lots of authentic flavors across their different dishes. What I loved the most was the variety of their sides, the free ones you get with your meals. These people had a larger and tastier variety of things to eat with the meat, etc.

The service was SPOT on. I’ve been to several where the service tends to be “so so” since only so many waiters can cook at each table at the same time I can appreciate how hard it is.

Atmosphere is well done, lots of private walled booths to enjoy.

Parking is basically the Super H Mart parking lot so there is plenty.
Would I go back? Absolutely!

Food was great and the wait staff was really attentive. With 6 people they made sure everyone’s orders were good and came out at the same time. Service was quick and fast and the food was yummy. Would definitely go back here again.

We visited this restaurant a couple of years ago. At that time, the entrance was a red gate, so I remember being mistaken for a Chinese restaurant. I visited this restaurant after a long time, ate KOREAN BBQ, and left this review.
Our server was friendly. It was a pleasant start. The quality of the meat was also good. We ordered “Chef Special A,” which had all we liked to eat.
Cold noodles could be ordered at a slightly lower price if ordered with meat. The BBQ table is installed in each cubicle and is very private. Of course, it was good experience that I wanted to visit again.

My friend and I dined here and we were both impressed with the quality of the food and service. I opted for the bulgogi dulsot bibimbap while my friend had the galbi. The side dishes were impressive and beautiful. They also did not skimp on the portions for dinner. The dinner was worth every penny.

I walked in with my aunt to grab lunch. A middle-aged woman with glasses was at the front counter on the restaurant phone. It sounded like a reservation call or takeout order so I waited to be greeted or seated but she didn’t even look up until a few minutes later and mouthed the words “how many” and I signaled with my hand, two. She pointed to a booth right by the desk so we went and seated ourselves.

We waited for menus but no one came. Then, I heard another group come in and she greeted them loudly, and I could hear her say “four glasses of water please!”

After waiting for a little while longer, still no greeting, no menus, no server. So we walked out.

Terrible customer service, obviously discriminating of some kind, and inconsistent manners. I would even be more understanding if it was busy, but it was early lunch time and practically empty.

I would spend your money elsewhere.

Chung Dam restaurant stands out as one of the premier dining spots in Atlanta’s Korean town. It’s my go-to choice for hosting non-Korean business partners and colleagues due to its consistent excellence since its establishment. Today, we had lunch here after attending a funeral mass at church. The lunch spread was incredibly generous, offering a diverse range of dishes including Korean traditional pancake (전), Kalbi, grilled fish (가자미구이), and 오징어볶음, accompanied by Soju. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience marked by a pleasant atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious food. Personally, I found the overall taste slightly saltier than my preference, but I acknowledge that taste preferences vary. Nonetheless, the pancake and Kalbi stood out to me as particularly outstanding in flavor.
