Awesome little cafe! The food was great. I got the shrimp basket and the raspberry sweet hot sauce it came with was really good. The kids really enjoyed their food as well. Waitress was super friendly and the atmosphere has a nice American diner feel. Needless to say, I was very impressed with this little place!

Described as homemade on the menu, the hash was amazeballs. Scrambled eggs and toast made a good bookend to the hash prize. The waitress was on point and nice as can be. The restaurant itself was simple/quaint but standard for the ‘up north’ experience. Very good all around experience.

We stopped by here on our way across MI. We are from Dallas visiting family. They served the best omelet I have had in years. It was light fluffy, not overcooked. My husbands skillet was cooked just right, veggies were still a little crisp and it wasn’t swimming in cheese. Our server was so polite and attentive. This was a delightful stop.

Stopped in for a delicious breakfast. The Burt Lake Special will be a go to for me. Sausage, egg, large grilled biscuit, absolutely covered in sausage gravy. I had to take half home! If nearby and need a good meal, swing in!

Had a very enjoyable time. While walking from the parking lot a very nice woman told us to have a nice day. That was the start of a very good breakfast. I had the Burt Lake Benedict. You must try this, it is “Up North” at its finest. Delicious and very filling.

Christopher’s Cafe exceeds expectations for a small town spot. The food is excellent and service attentive. The interior is extremely tidy and well kept. The menu is great. How can you miss with breakfast all day? Food came out hot, fresh, and quickly. Would definitely stop here again.

My kids and I ordered ala carte and ate family style because they didn’t have a big selection of “meals” that sounded good to us. The pancakes were great, so was the corned beef hash. But our hash browns (which I asked for extra crispy) were limp and cold and the waffles were kinda greasy. They tasted almost deep fried. Probably good if you get whipped cream or toppings, but served plain they we’re kinda boring. Our waiter was great. I forget his name but he was a young guy covered in tattoos. Very attentive and polite. The 3-star rating is because we arrived 5-10 minutes before they opened and several staff were out back smoking and vaping. And when we left 45 minutes later the same waitresses were out back smoking again! That just seemed pretty gross and unsanitary. Thankfully it wasn’t our server.
