One of the best cafe’s in the Akron area. Outstanding food and service. The atmosphere is cheerfully eclectic with an artful flare. The Twisted noodles, Savanah’s Best, and Chopped Wedge Salad were excellently prepared and presented. Pure white linen table cloths, perfectly weighted cutlery, and simply designed water glasses all added to the experience. Renee, our service provider was attentive, polite, and responsive. The Cafe gets my triple A stamp of approval and is highly recommended. Bravo Chef Louis Prpich, et al for a pleasurable dining experience. Not to my liking,they charge a fee to use a credit card.

Food was very good. Service was good. We sat at the bar top. We came in at 2:30 pm. I looked at their website it said they closed from 3 to 4 on google. On Facebook it said they opened at 4 pm. I had to call them to ask what the hours were. Besides that confusion it was good. Just wish they had Stella on draft.

Went for lunch. Lobster bisque and bread sidebars excellent. Had the grouper fish and chips, also was excellent. The server was very pleasant and attentive to everyone there. I will definitely be returning and recommending to everyone. Great job everyone!

I greatly enjoyed the food at their previous location, but it seems that when they moved they lost their magic. I had the lobster ravioli, which was so sweet from an excess of red peppers that it rivaled some desserts I’ve had. My friend had the blackened grouper, which was incredibly salty. Overall I can’t say I’d recommend it anymore, which is a shame considering how eagerly I used to do so.

First they didn’t have blue moon. Second service was awesome. Crab cakes appetizer phenomenal. I got a lamb shank and lobster Mac n cheese. Wifey got salmon and sweet potatoes. Both dishes were great. Beer selection sucked. I think maybe sound deadening or something would help. Our server has to tell the specials. I doubt they play music the way it’s so loud in there. We will be back. I’m just nit picking here. The prices are high but you are getting what you pay for. Soooo good. Oh they charge for using credit card.

After living in Cuyahoga Falls and Akron for years, it was finally time to try Chowder House! And it did not disappoint….the shrimp and scallops grits appetizer was probably my favorite dish of the evening. Cheesy, perfectly seasoned, and filling. The wedge salad had loads of toppings and was perfect for sharing. Finally, the entrees were the perfect main course… Crab cakes with fabulous homemade creamed corn and the twisted noodles (ahi tuna dish). There was nothing I wouldn’t order again! Reasonably priced and nice eclectic ambiance, although the interior was a little run-down. Service was average, and this place is BYOB with $5 or $6 corking fee… Will definitely be going back!!

Our waitress was pleasant but it took 10 minutes to be recognized with even a hello or glass of water. Cocktails were delicious. Dinner, well.. the potatoes looked like poi. They were dark gray. Who serves that? The fish was just OK. Nothing great about flavors. The place was dirty. The tables were set but the floor and sears were a mess.

Very good food! I had the Pad Thai. It was perfect! The man had Et ou fee. My mom had the clam chowder. The little one ended up eating half of it! The small person had some noodles with the best Alfredo sauce I have had! Crab cakes were also delicious. The chef Jason was amazing and our waitress was very accommodating. Overall great experience. Delicious food, personable staff, and a laid back atmosphere.
