Vegetarian and gluten-free options abound on our menu. We feature specialty cocktails, local wines and local beer. Try any one of 10 flavors of our house-made chocolate mousse truffles. Delicious!

Pros: great outdoor seating space, decadent and delicious hot chocolate (we came just for dessert). Cons: we asked for a table for 3 and were told there was no availability despite many visible open tables because according to the host there were many upcoming reservations. She told us wait would two hours (note that this was at 8pm and the restaurant closes at 9pm). Shortly afterwards, we went on open table and found a reservation for 3 people for ten minutes later. Bizarre service experience but besides that a pleasant spot.

We walked by this place a lot of times, and this time we decided to go in. And it was a very pleasant surprise. Even though it was graduation weekend at UCSC, they seated us on the patio in a few minutes and with as busy as they were, the service was wonderful. We had the Roasted Snap Peas for appetizer, the BBQ pork and the Chicken Parmesan. We also had a canoli with espresso for desert. Everything was tasty, especially the chicken parmesan, it tasted fresh and tender, not your usual heavy breaded dry chicken. This was a great experience, and we will go there again. Wish I had taken pictures of the food.

We just had their hot drinks and desserts. They were pretty good. The hot chocolate was made with real chocolate and had rich flavors. The cake was also fresh. The outdoor sitting was very cute like a French bistro. The service was good but little bit slow.

Great place! Wife and I came here on a Wednesday night for a date. Not very busy and the outdoor patio was very nice. We just got desert and a few drinks and everything was amazing! Great service and great food. We had the chocolate martini and OMG it was good. I also had a chocolate mint mojito and it was great too. Very fresh ingredients! We will be back.

They just about lost me at the name. I don’t really eat chocolate and I just assumed that considering their name is was gonna be slim pickins for my get together with old friends, but it was their choice, not mine.

Really disappointed in the service tonight at Chocolate. Had a friend in town and we came here for drinks, he happens to be diabetic. He will typically order a cocktail and ask them to just omit the sugar/syrup.

Yuuuuuum!!! Talk about a naughty dinner! We had the artichoke cheese dip which comes with amazing fresh bread and no skimping on the artichoke hearts. Then we had the rolled cheese dish with a salad, also very rich but the salad was a good call with the dish; I wouldn’t recommend the same dish but labeled “for two”… I think I would have been all dairy’d out after that. The salad is a must. For desert we had the rose truffle which had delicious white chocolate and a very strong rose flavor. I love rose but its not something I would get twice. We also got the banana cream which was surprisingly light and airy and had an interesting texture but yummy crust. And ofc we had to get a hot chocolate. They call it hot chocolate but I think its closer to a drinking chocolate imo. I went for the sofia and it was a perfect complement to the entire night! Most people get the hot chocolates for desert but I sipped mine throughout and I thought it went well with our cheesy meal. Will definitely be going back and trying more of the deserts and drinks! The patio had a nice homey vibe and the host was really friendly and welcoming. Love this place and can’t wait to get back!

Excellent place for a classy dinner. Pictured here are the Dulce de Leche Torte and Coconut Mojito. The chocoate is smoother than silk. And the mojito is complex and rich. Loved the atmosphere as well, outdoor seating is a hit.

Cute little place with privacy and a hideaway feeling in their outdoor seating. Creative and pretty presentation of drinks and dishes. Chocolate nuances everywhere, even in their cocktails. If you like chocolate, then obviously…
