This is a cafe located in Heights in Jersey city. I bike there from downtown Jersey city. The location is not the most convenient one but it is a good bakery in the area. The almond croissant is delicious and the staff is nice. There are a variety of bakery there and the environment is quiet in the cafe shop.

This is our favorite choc o pain location. We had croissant amandes, escargot a la cannelle and financier today. Sometimes if you come late, these items sold out on weekends. Coffee is not that good here, but we do like the ambience, staff And the pastries, especially when it’s not crowded.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars! Choc O Pain is the best cafe in the neighborhood. Their coffee and espresso are delicious. And their breads are soft, toasty and the best ones are filled with delicious chocolate.

Delicious if a little pricy. I have not had a bad bite yet. Also love that they participate in Too Good to Go to produce less waste. Looking forward to getting another almond croissant and ice coffee soon.

For the price you pay, the coffee could be better and served in bigger cups. Staff is friendly and quick, you can see ppl preparing pastries which is cool. The pastries and other food items are very tasty.

5/5 stars for the pastries and sandwiches, they absolutely never fail me, and the staff is extremely lovely. As long as you never order the coffee here (especially any espresso drinks)(seriously, just don’t do it, I’ve made the mistake many times so you don’t have to) you will be a happy customer.

Bad experience! 2 assistants tried to fool me. I ordered only one chocopain bread and asked for warm up and headed to cashier. The first assisant helped me warm it up and put it in bag. Then she hanged over the bag to the assistant at the cashier and said two chocopain. I heard and felt weird but said nothing. The one at the cashier pick the bag and placed in front of me, and said two chocopain, 8 dollars (4 each) and charged me so in the cashier. Then I asked: Two? She confirmed:Yes, two. I lift the bag and said: Just one! And she modified the money real quick to 4. I just couldn’t believe that. How could that even happened? The first one received my order and put it in herself, but she told two when hanging over? She could feel the weight in bag! She works there and she should easily know the difference of one and two. Same for the one at cashier who put the bag in front of me. She could felt the weight even though she didn’t actually look into the bag. She later modifying the money real quick was another prove. This must not be the first time they did so. They just thought me as easy money and played such a poor trick! I have been there several times caz my friends recommend and the bread I gave a try there was good, but now no more exploring.

Choc O Pain, le quatrieme café… It doesn’t disappoint in the coffee and baked goods department. Service is attentive and pleasant. The space is perfect for a pause from the daily frenzy of life. And now that the warmer weather is near, you grab a table outside and enjoy your cup of coffee one tiny sip at a time. You’ll be grateful this café is part of the Heights scenery.
