We are OTR drivers for Martin Milk Service out of Wisconsin and was it ever nice to find this little place!! We ended up having to wait to be loaded and were getting hungry so we searched and found Choates-“Let’s check it out!” GREAT folks working here, food was very good, prices were pretty good too! The atmosphere was quiet, nostalgic and compfy! The ladies were kind and quick to refill our coffee. A very nice, little hometown, Mom n Pop feel! Stop by Jerome Idaho and check it out!!

We stopped in here on a road trip hoping for at least mediocre diner style food. Neither of us finished our plate. I ordered the “honey cured bacon cheese burger” it was inedible, super dry and rubbery. Also it was not honey cured bacon they informed me after ordering it was regular bacon. My husband ordered the “spicy chicken sandwich” it wasn’t spicy…I’m not even sure it was chicken, very rubbery and gross. We ordered no tomatoes on our sandwiches, still got a tomato. The onion rings and fry sauce were actually pretty good hence the 1 star. The bathrooms were clean, the place itself was clean.

Stopped by this diner and was pleasantly surprised! The milkshake was absolutely fantastic—rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The whole place has a fun retro vibe straight out of the ’50s and ’60s, which really adds to the experience. Whether you’re in town or just passing through, I’d strongly recommend stopping by for a great bite and a bit of nostalgia.

Cute little family run diner. Looks like a hole in the wall from the outside. But don’t let that fool you. It’s bright and cheery inside and the food is amazing. We got the fried chicken dinner and it was excellent!

I didn’t want to complain because the server was really nice but the food was not great . my hash browns were like warm , my eggs I didn’t eat because they were gross (flat and slimy ) Mind you the were suppose to be scrambled. The cook does not know how to cook scrambled eggs. The coffee was great and the toast but I had to get up and ask for more jam . The food has went down hill . Great people but not great food ! It was so bad I didn’t take photos .

Wish I’d taken a photo/s ! 5 star service, Food, wait time and pricing!!
Great diner ambiance.

Passing through looking for something besides ‘fast’ food.
We are a large group and arrived within an hour of closing.
Full menu available, everyone ordered a different, full meal plate.

So glad we found this place! Chicken fried steak plate, salmon meal, Burger, French dip…fries and onion rings…
All of it was Fabulous.

So glad this place was here.
Wish we could return!

Thanks Choate’s !

This was a great place to stop for breakfast while we waited for WOW Logistics to load us. Being from Wisconsin, it’s so nice to come across such kind people!! The atmosphere was cozy, quiet, nostalgic and the way it used to be when you’d stop at a good ‘ol Mom n Pops! The food was very good, service was amazing!! A definite stop while you’re in Jerome Idaho!

Spiffy little place to grab a bite to eat mid trip. Not super fancy and good, low pricing. Service was quick and staff was friendly. Food is decent with portion size appropriate to price. Wish I had time for breakfast, because they looked super yummy, but we couldn’t wait the 30-40min for ordering breakfast after 11am.
