Went here based on the reviews, pics and description of menu. While I wasn’t entirely disappointed, I wasn’t entirely satisfied either. We had been outside for hours prior and wanted a hot meal. My cup of soup (steak) was warm, not hot, had a nice coating of oil, which I could barely make out due to color of bowl and lighting. My seafood combo was quite literally deep fried frozen seafood. The serving was enormous and could have fed 2 ppl comfortably. Couldn’t/ didn’t want to finish it. Tried cutting a fish and it literally broke apart while trying to cut it. Our server seemed preoccupied with helping with takeout orders. Our service was relatively prompt, but waiting for the check took a while, as did the clearing of tables around us, even though those patrons had left much earlier

Stopped for lunch after a hike in Genoa. Good food, great service (thanks Eric)! Prime rib dip was excellent plenty big for a lunch plate. The O-Rings are hand breaded decadence! The fries were great. Service tip – the chicken sandwich needs to be served open-faced because the bun sticks to the cheese and then you can’t spread the BBQ sauce on it… portions were great and by great I mean “plentiful.” Next time we’ll likely split an appetizer and sandwich. The atmosphere is very pleasant, we’ll likely come back here just for an evening cocktail or desert sometime.

It was a great experience, came here with my 9yr old and my mom. The views are beautiful. The service was really nice. The food was really tasty. Came here on a Tuesday at around 3PM for a late lunch. Had the artichoke spinach as a starter- it was really flavorful, had the steak sandwich with onion rings and 10/10 reccomend. My 9yr old had the kids mac n cheese he liked it. It packs less of a flavor punch but it’s perfect to season with a little salt n pep at the table. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu- it lasted all of 5 seconds at the table.

We dined here four times during our week stay and enjoyed every meal. The staff is very friendly and informed, The food was overall very good. The wait times varied due to how busy they were, and there was no rhyme or reason for that – busy on a Wednesday, slow on a Thursday???

My wife and I visited this restaurant this week. She had the Chicken Piccada and I had the Pan Seared Salmon. The chicken was served over mashed potatoes and the Salmon was served with wild rice and asparagus. Both the Chicken and the Salmon were cooked perfectly. The asparagus was al dente and was not stringy. The wine was also very good.

Average food, average prices, the service was kind of slow. The waitress was super nice. We walked in around 6 PM and was told that there were no tables available and had to come back at 7:15 PM. We didn’t know it at the time but you can also sit freely and the saloon if there are any available seats. Reservations ahead of time would be a good idea.

The servers, hostess and everyone there were so kind, friendly and welcoming to our family. The hostess even brought little toys for my 3 girls and were so sweet with them. The place is amazing and full of history. Bummer that it closes so early – 8pm. We stayed there for 5 nights and we were only able to make it in time for dinner 1 night only due to closing so early.

Great area location. Restaurant used to have great food, but when new owners bought the resort and head chef left and temporary the sous chef is doing the cooking. That leaves questionable when a good chef will return. Rooms are nice but need updating. Great hot springs which are natural and a nice addition to the experience of this area. Historic area.

Here is a restaurant with a balanced menu, a friendly staff, and a chef that will visit your table (thank you for baking and hand-delivering a birthday cake). On top of this, add a view of thermal-steaming watercourses carving through pastureland of the Carson Valley, a backdrop of the Pine Nut mountains, and paint in a few happy little trees.

Came here for the first time. We walked in at 330, no one around, we made our way to the bar where there was someone working. We sat at a table, only one in there. Service was great. I ordered a salad, husband ordered a burger. Huge burger -looked great he said it was awesome. I ordered a salad. Lettuce was brown. I ate the croutons. The server asked if I was done, I said yes the lettuce was brown. She said Isee that I will let them know as she walked away. No apology.
