Newer location, very clean and well organized. Friendly staff and a simple, straightforward menu. The open kitchen area appeared clean and orderly.
I ordered a steak bowl. Ingredients were mostly fresh, but the steak was overly salty for my taste. My bigger issue was the upselling. I asked if add-ons were included and was told yes, but later noticed small signage showing guacamole and queso are extra. I was asked multiple times if I wanted both, which quickly added several dollars to the bowl.
Overall: clean store and nice staff. Deducting points for the salty steak and aggressive upselling.

A great addition to the east side of Rowlett! Attended their grand opening on 12/31/25 and the food and service were excellent. Lots of staff on hand today, which I’m sure is abnormal, but everyone was friendly and excited to be here. Now I just have to brace myself for how much my kids are gonna want to go here!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience today. I ordered a meal for $30 and what I received was spoiled food. This is completely unacceptable and very unprofessional.
Your employees need to maintain better hygiene and food quality standards because this is not the first time something like this has happened. Customers pay for good service and safe food, not spoiled meals.
Honestly, you are lucky I didn’t come in person to pick up my order because I would have returned the food immediately and poured it right on your face. This level of service does not deserve even a single star.

All I can say is wow. This establishment is one of the most unsanitary restaurant I’ve seen in a long time. The table where the meat is prepared on was so filthy and disgusting. The employees look as if they do not want to be there. I have to agree with the other reviews. This place needs alot of work and it just opened. I do not advise anyone to come to this location. My steak was salty and my rice tasted as if it sat there all day. I will not show my face there again. Fire everyone including the general manager.

I live around the corner and come in about once a week on my way to work. Consistently I’m the only customer in there with 5-7 staff members there. Noone says hi and they often seem an odd combination of annoyed and confused I’m even here to order food. I don’t get why such a new staff is so weird and seemingly unhappy.
Also, avoid ordering double meat, they won’t actually do it, you’ll get a pinch more than a normal order.

Waited in the drive thru for 30 min past pick up time of online order. We could see the “manager” was rolling her eyes while making our order….never apologized for the long wait and had a terrible attitude. You are much better off going to the other Rowlett location.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CHIPOTLE TO EVER OPEN!!! HORRIBLE!! They served burned chips. The rice hard and just dry! In addition, the manager Nikki didn’t make the situation any better. I told her about the chips and she still allowing the chips to be sold burnt! She basically stated that the employees are new! Do not use the employees as an excuse because your the overseer of the establishment. You should ensure the items that go out are to STANDARD!

Asked for a bowl, to-go and the skinny white dude literally gave me half a scoop of rice. I asked for more, he gave me another half scoop. Beans were terrible, meat was dry…. and guess what half a scoop of meat that he shook to have it fall off. I told him that he gave me half a scoop of meat and he claimed “that was their portion size. Dude chipotle has been around for 20 years, everyone knows what the portion size is.
I just said I didn’t want it and left. Hopefully management can talk their employees. Won’t be returning to this one eventhough it’s the closest to home unfortunately.
