Really honest review here: staff were wonderful, very attentive and sweet. Coffee was ok – I got a latte with oat milk.
Poached chipotle eggs: love the chipotle sauce, but the white part of the poached egg was too runny, and the hash browns came a bit cold and flavorless.
Waffles: these were good. I wasn’t like wow these are the best waffles ever, but they were good waffles. Love bananas and strawberries, and I appreciate honey with my waffles.
Ambiance: cute garden. Loud Americans (unavoidable here in San Miguel De Allende), but hey I’m American too, so I get it. It’s just the way they talk. And the music was catered to Americans, all English, which I wish Mexican culture didn’t cater to that and sang Spanish songs and stuck to their beautiful culture and music.

– Antano Cuatro Restaurante. You know as soon as you step inside this is old world. Eighty plus years, according to Senora Alejandra owner who was raised in this very house. Son, Jaun Francisco keeps things running smoothly along with head waiter Gabriel. Chef’s Leo and Blanco serve up authentico, hand-made corn tortillas, guacamole with all sorts of original Mexican food, together with silky eggs Benedict, Salmon and rib eye steak. Bartender Paulina shakes up Classico 110p and Flower, Hibicus or Passion fruit margs just 130p delicious! Opposite Paprika on Ancha. Open for Breakfast & Lunch 9-5 (Closed Tuesdays) with Dinner Thr,Fri & Sat; Soecial 2×1 “Happy Hour 6:30-7:30” with LIVE music on Fridays. Google has nothing but RAVE Reviews by both locals and Expats. And the PG isn’t far behind with Four Silver ’s for being ‘asthetically different, as in real, genuinely friendly’ and what you hope when dining out, consistently good eats in a lovely old Mexican Casa.

On our last trip I ordered the ham panini and my wife ordered eggs Benedict with a spicy Hollandaise sauce. Both were very good. If we had one complaint, the potatoes that accompanied the eggs Benedict were a little undercooked.

Ate lunch here. Lovely restaurant. We both had shrimp quesadillas. Delicious. Came with very crispy French fries. Fries needed salt. As a bonus they gave us garlic bread to start.

During my latest trip to San Miguel de Allende I had one of the best breakfasts at Antaño Cuatro. The place is very pleasant with an open air central patio where tables are located. The menu is varied enough and the flavors are really good. Excellent service and background music made it for a perfect morning break.

Just went in for coffee as it looked cute walking by. Noticed a cortado was only 45P and ordered 2. They came in clay cups with a huge head of foam but no milk in the coffee. Unusual. Asked for additional milk since the coffee was so bitter. It came with a smile. We could not drink the bitter coffee even with additional milk. Then came the bill of 180 P. Somehow the price doubled but the main issue was how the drink was made and the very bitter taste. Unusual experience in this town with so many great coffee places.
