For my 4/26/2020 order, I ordered three bowls. As you can see from the pictures, they are barely half filled. Barely any barbocoa, rice, beans, and other toppings besides sour cream.
For an order a month ago, I even drove to their location and asked for them to remake my order. The manager at the time was VERY nice about it and I commend his customer service (why I’m giving a 2 star instead of 1 star review). But the point of delivery is for me to NOT have to go to the location to get my food.
This happens each time I order for delivery. I’ve send a ticket a few times to their support and they would comp my order, but what I really want it for them to fix themselves. How are you going to continue operating like this? It seems like a lack of work ethic on SOME of the employees there (keyword some).
Does leaving a Google review really do anything to help them remedy their issues? Probably not because if they don’t care already, why would they care now?
The employee non-chalantly said, ‘oh we are out of guac right now’. When I asked to be refunded for the charge of it in my bowl & as a side with chips, he said, ‘you have to go on the website for that’.
I’m very disappointed in the food I paid $46 for (because 2 kids were with & got food as well). After I took 3-4 bites of food, I found a piece of plastic in my burrito bowl. Unsure where I go to get a refund, but this location shouldn’t be open if they are out of half the toppings.
**Don’t waste your time here, go to many of the other great restaurants within blocks in this area.**
I recently moved into the Twin Cities area, and this Chipotle is in a convenient location for me to visit after work, which I have done several times already. I don’t know why I keep giving them my business though.
The first problem I have is that they frequently don’t cook things right. I’ve been to many Chipotle locations and had the exact same meal many many times from various locations. I know exactly how it’s supposed to be seasoned and cooked, and this location overcooks their chicken nearly every time, leaving it overly smoky and almost burnt tasting. On top of that, something (I believe it’s the pico de gallo) is frequently oversalted and completely throws off the flavor of the meal. Big disappointment.
The second problem I have is that they’re often out of things relatively early in the evening. This is excusable as an occasional problem, but it’s extremely frequent at this location. Big disappointment.
This third problem is specific to the visit I made to this location tonight. I normally choose to order in-store and just go through the line because this location is so slow. Did I mention how consistently slow this location is? I have personally chalked it up to the recent labor shortage, but even on nights when they’ve got three front line workers it’s abysmally slow.
Anyway, I choose to order online tonight, for whatever reason, and set my order time for about 15 minutes ahead, 9:00PM. I arrive at 8:59PM, and I notice a sign on the door that says they’re only accepting online orders today. Interesting. I go in, check the order shelf, and I see that my order isn’t ready yet. No big deal, I’m patient, so I wait. At about 9:10PM, my order finally comes out. I take the bag, look inside, and I’m greeted with….. a box?
To be clear, you can see in the photo that I ordered a bowl. The container the food comes in isn’t important though. What IS important is the difference in size between the usual Chipotle bowl container and this box that I got tonight. You can also see in the picture that I SPECIFICALLY ordered extra rice and extra beans, since that’s how much I eat for a meal. This container contained at MOST half of the food I paid/asked for.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I understand that sometimes you run out of materials at a restaurant. That’s fine! However, when that shortage affects the customer, you should probably inform them, or be ready to make a reasonable accommodation. After I looked inside my bag and realized that this box wasn’t going to cut it, I turned to say something to the worker who had handed it to me, but she had pulled a Houdini and completely vanished. By now, I’m annoyed, but today I chose forgiveness and went along my way. But this location is still getting a 1-star review from me, because it’s total garbage.
