I haven’t had Chinese food in years. I just didn’t feel like eating it. I’m pregnant and had a craving for honey walnut shrimp. I discovered this spot on Google Maps and ordered lunch to-go in person.

When you’re looking for Chinese food you have different types. What we were looking for was American Chinese food. And there’s only one place to go to and that is in Tustin. The building itself is old and dated, and when you walk in you kind question how good the food will be based on the old decor. But… the food. It’s full of flavor. The Mongolian Beef isn’t spicy like one would think it to be, but with it’s big flavor you don’t even miss the spice. Love this place. I feel so welcome here! The staff is knowledgeable about their options and will go above and beyond to help you get what you need. I’m pretty sure everyone stopped by our table to check on us or run our food out. The owner seems to know many of his customers. Highly recommended If you happen to be around here. (The only problem is that there isn’t a lot of parking space.)

We came because we saw the reviews online and this place not disappoint. All the food was excellent and so was the service! Can’t wait to come back!

I cannot believe I didn’t have a review here already — one of the best Chinese restaurants around. They have a great lunch special that hasn’t changed in price that I can tell. I order the same thing most of the time — Kung Pao Two Flavors (chicken and shrimp). Yes, the chicken is that crazy pressed stuff with simulated attachments so you think it’s right off the chicken but that’s why there’s hot mustard! To dull your critic’s senses and accept that it’s real. Also, if you like spicy but not fiery, try mixing the mustard with the sweet and sour sauce and a dash of soy sauce. Great for the fried spring roll!

Have been a customer since the 80s. Despite ownership change, the food quality and consistency has always been good and reliable.

The service was the best that we’ve received during our time at LA. The food is great and well priced, and the kind owners even gave us lovely desserts and fruits as well. We’ll definitely be back!

China Palace is everything you want and more. The food is exquisite, the atmosphere is akin to an old family run restaurant in the middle of Chinatown, and the staff is so attentive and so nice!
