I used to eat here when I worked at the old tattoo shop across the street and it’s been about 10 years. Now my husband and I have been popping over here lately for something quick and cheap and we think it is the heart of west Duluth. The food is honestly decent and our daughter is a super picky eater and something about the buffet style eases her anxiety around food. She can see what she’s getting before choosing and she loves the snow shrimp. It’s also great we can get a pickup order from here. Staff have been friendly and helpful and we love the atmosphere too. Neither of us really enjoy a traditional sit down dining experience anymore, so coming to a buffet is a nice change of pace.

My husband and I come here normally every Friday. We always come in to get carry out because our work week is so crazy we just want to enjoy there great food at home. We love the takeout prices normally under $30 for us both with filled up to go boxes. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food is our favorite.

Calm place, food is good but I was there at closing time so may have not been that fresh but I did enjoy myself. Overall a good experience.

I don’t usually write reviews but after reading the reviews I feel like others should be aware of this:/ I’ve been coming to this buffet for a long time and have brought many friends and family here over the years. I usually enjoy the food, but today was a complete deal breaker for me. I walked in on New Year’s Eve expecting to pay the usual $14.97 per plate. I dined in with a group of 3, including one child, expecting a quick and casual meal. When the total came out to $90, I was genuinely shocked. If I had known the price beforehand, I would have never stepped foot inside. There was no sign posted about a holiday price increase, and no one verbally informed us either. We were immediately seated without being told anything. When I asked why the total was so high, the employee paused, looked back and forth at the cashier, and then took my receipt out of my hand to show me it said “holiday buffet.” The lack of explanation and confidence made it very clear that even she knew the charge was unreasonable. While the food itself is decent, $90 does not match the experience. There’s no music, no atmosphere, and honestly the staff came off a bit rude. This was supposed to be a quick bite, not a fine dining bill?!? $90 may not be a lot to some people, but it is a lot to me. Transparency matters, and being upfront about pricing would have made a huge difference. Unfortunately, I would not be coming back.

Ate here on a Sunday at 12:30PM. Immediately seated, food was hot and plentiful (3 rows of hot and cold dishes), lots of variety for those picky eaters, attentive staff. It is dated but I ain’t eating the walls or seating so whatever. Yay! Coke products! A couple of options for dessert, but I am not into sweets. Restrooms are big, clean and smell-free. Highly recommended!! Sorry no pics there were a lot of people here.

Dining area is very roomy.. Had a decent varieties of foods.. I ate egg drop soup, hot tofu soup, general Tso chicken, garlic chicken and peanut chicken all of which were pretty good. I also ate the cream cheese wontons, fried shrimp, Hawaiian chicken, sesame ball, white rice noodles with scrambled egg pieces/carrots and broccoli all of which were either flavorless or not good tasting. The place itself was clean and nicely decorated. Their customer service was alright. My son ate the low mein and said it was really good. My mom had the fried fish and said it was good. My overall experience I’d say I’d give a B- and the meal was not worth $18.95. Will never eat at this establishment ever again. No thank you.

I went on a Sunday, which i did not know it is dinner all day, which are the same items of food that is served for lunch. Also, $20 a person! If the quality of food was better and better food I wouldn’t complain. I would be happy at $13.00 a person, which is what it should be. I will never return!

Great assortment of food, hot plenty of it, from coconut chicken to the regular stuff, well it used to be great our last visit almost made me puke , floor was sticky , food was cool and like soaked in grease with no taste, my wife had little pieces of chicken strung together picked up one piece with fork and 6 little pieces with a thick like vein holding them togather, I’ll just quit there , in case it was an off day everyone gets one once awhile, bathroom was horrible!! Also note coconut chicken has not been there for awhile now, I think if there is a local person reviewing this establishment, when you get cold food you should call health inspectors promptly I hope some local will do this

Sesame chicken, general tsos chicken, Hawaiian chicken, and teriyaki chicken were all solid as a rock. Completely silent no music, sad atmosphere. Tried to vacuum under our table while we were attempting to eat the rocks we chose. Payed 40 bucks for two people at the buffet and two drinks. I wish I could scrounge up one good thing to say about this place. Just don’t ever go here.

Went here with a resident I work with in the area. I did not eat, simply got a sprite. My resident ate three plates. When I got up to the register i explained that my I just got a sprite and the rest would be on a separate order. My resident paid and waited in the car, I paid and got my receipt back and it was $21.11. Mind you like I said… all I got was a sprite. The lady checking me out began to yell at me saying that one other person didn’t pay. I explained only one person ate and he had already paid, the lady continued to raise her voice at me about someone not paying. I kept explaining the situation and she did not back down until some one else came over and finally translated what I was trying to say to this lady. Then she said ok have a good day.

Absolutely rude and disrespectful. I was appalled by how this lady was treating me especially after charging me over $20 for a sprite. Get it together.
