I have literally seen the entire continental US and have had Chinese in probably every single state. This is by far the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever seen in my life. There’s nothing positive to say about it other than the drinks were cold. The employee/manager was so busy on his phone when we walked in he barely noticed us. Then sat us at a table that was as filthy as the floor. The food in the buffet was all overcooked and dry. Nothing was labeled so you had no idea what you were scooping on your plate. The rice looked like it had been there all day the previous day. There was hardly any lighting in the place and that just added to the drab feeling. When we decided we were done and walked to the register to pay nobody noticed us for a good five to ten minutes, we should have just walked out and drove across the lot to Wendy’s. Would have been more fresh, hot, and 95% sure a lot cleaner. The owners should be absolutely ashamed to have this restaurant open to the public. The health department actually NEEDS to be made aware of this establishment and come visit them… ASAP! Save your time and money and go to any of the other food choices within a two second walk.

Food is garbage! And the service isn’t any better. The waiter couldn’t put his phone down long enough to do any work. This used to be a pretty decent place to eat years ago and I’ve tried it several times over the past few years and it’s worse every time. Do not I repeat DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! just go to McDonald’s you’ll have a much better experience.

The service and quality has diminished since China King came to Vandalia. I love China gate I’ve been a loyal customer since the beginning when they were on Gallatin. Hopefully that can get their excitement and atmosphere back sometime soon. Still decent food. And the shrimp are clean.

The first and only time I ate here it was gross at best. The staff was mopping the floor with nasty brown water that stunk while we were trying to eat and we clearly saw a roach on the floor. Needless to say, we never returned. The food was mediocre.

I will never eat again..!! The food was all cold. And, it tasted like the metal that the food was in. I’m guessing from the food sitting so long that it tasted like the pan. It was TERRIBLE..!!! One thing to add, the owner was very apologetic and didn’t charge for 2 of our buffets. We had 4 people in our party.

Fried food was over fried. Food that usually comes in a sauce was in water thin liquid. Taste was mediocre at best. I had to get up and go get my own drink refill because the guy seating everybody was too busy walking around and not paying attention to you customers already in the restaurant. I thought I would try this place as I passed through town. I will definitely not stop there again.

The food was over cooked or tasteless. It was like eating garbage by far the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. We only ordered from here cause the other Chinese place was closed we will never do that again.
