Unfortunately didn’t have the greatest food here tonight. I haven’t been in a few months, decided to get Pupu for 2 with girlfriend and kids. Seems prices are up again, no surprise i guess. But 40$ now for a Pupu that tasted like the food has been sitting for a few days isn’t gunna make the cut for me anymore. Ribs were so dry they were stringy. Tasted old. The eggrolls were simply cabbage and ginger. Crab raggoons had been sitting all week. I can stand bland Chinese but it’s got to be fresh. Chicken fingers were ok, wings ok, both mediocre. I will be trying other places, too bad this was a decent place.

Such a wonderful restaurant to dine! The owner and staff are always cheerful, funny and makes fabulously delicious dishes. The dining room is lovely! Ryan and Casey and the other wait staff are always top tier. World class for years. If you are a little curious we are delighted with the recommended creations! Christine cooks very authentic and healthy Chinese food. After over 20 years ALWAYS 5 star in every way.

Coming from a city in which I had great food options that were all 4-5 stars, eating out here in Central Maine can be hard especially Chinese food but the China Garden is our new all time favorite stop period! The food is fresh and well prepared. She and the staff are super helpful and friendly and the restaurant is clean and bright. 5 stars for use, I’d add more if I could! This is now our date night take out pick up place too!

Highly recommend!! I have a very sensitive stomach and usually Chinese food tends to make me feel sick and bloated but I feel good! The service was very nice, and the food was delicious. We tried the authentic course where we were surprised with authentic Chinese food and was very happy with the food and experience. 10/10 will be going again!

Absolutely love this place! I was worried I wouldn’t find some good quality Chinese food in this area, but I was SUPER excited to find this place.
The food is fresh and comes out very quick, the owner doesn’t use any MSG in any of her food (for some people that’s a good thing, other people that’s a bad thing), and the prices are very good.
The lunch plates are the best bang for the buck. Overall would recommend!

Menu and prices are different. Ordered fried rice and sweet and sour chicken came to 32$ for what would cost 20 anywhere else. most expensive Chinese food I’ve ever had.

This is my go-to restaurant for Chinese food in the Bangor area. The food is always well prepared, hot, and delicious. The pork belly is a highlight. Large pieces of tender marbled pork in a savory sauce. Chinese comfort food! But leave your P*nda Express based assumptions at the door. The chef, Christine, has an authentic take on her offerings, sometimes with her own touches added, and they may be a little different than typical Americanized fare. So if your heart is set on something being like what you’re used to, ask first. The staff is also friendly and the prices are reasonable. It’s well worth visiting here.

Dined in,place was not busy at all took quite a while brought out food no silverware and where not served drinks till the food came out . Fried rice tasted burnt the egg rools tasted more like grease and the teriyaki steak im not sure what it was. Have gone there before plenty of times and was great not so good this time.

In Orono for a conference and I stopped by 20 minutes before close very hungry. The menu suggests trying an authentic Chinese meal. I 100% recommend this. Christine will come and ask you specific questions and design a meal just for you. I got 2 soups, rice, chicken, and vegetables for just $15. The food was well seasoned, hearty, but light. I didn’t feel like I had a heavy, unhealthy meal. It was more food than I could eat on my own. I felt like I had a homemade meal which is a godsend while traveling. Thank you Christine and staff! For specifically designed meals, they could be charging much much more!
