We have been going to China Cottage frequently for quite a while. Unfortunately we experienced a very disappointing and unethical service issue that will keep us from visiting again. Upon receiving our bill we paid cash leaving just shy of a 30% tip. We always tip generously as we have worked service jobs in the past and appreciate their hard work. The young female server came back after taking the cash and said, “Just making sure there wasn’t an issue. You left a $7 tip which is less than 10%.” She did not bring back the cash that we sent with her.

I took my best friend here for her birthday and was impressed with the variety of food on the menu. I had the Cottage (orange) Chicken; my friend had the Cashew Chicken and we shared crab rangoons. Food was hot when it arrived. The server was attentive with refilling our drinks even though the restaurant was fairly busy. Really reasonable prices considering the amount of food they provide. I would definitely stop by again if I am in town.

I ordered the Golden Calamari, potstickers, and crab Rangoon. The calamari was delicious, super spicy. The potstickers were the biggest I’ve ever seen but honestly not much flavor! The sauce that came with them helped. Crab Rangoon was not good at all. If you like sweet crab Rangoon you might like this but it tastes like cheesecake and I was not a fan. Food was hot and ready when promised. Will go back to try other things but the only thing I’d reorder is the calamari from this order.

Fast service, tasty food. The BEST crab Rangoons I’ve ever experienced. They literally melt in your mouth and you have a choice of two sauces either hot or sweet. Hot tea is wonderful.

High quality Chinese food, everything was well prepared and flavorful. My daughter had the Happy Family dish, she loves that she can get chicken, beef, pork and shrimp in one dish. I had the Walnut Chicken, which is a chef’s special on their menu and always well prepared. Staff were all attentive and nice. I was so hungry that I forgot to snap a couple of pictures of our meal, will update with pictures another time.

This used to be one of my all time favorite chinese restaurants, but the last time it disappointed me. The chicken lettuce wraps tasted weird it was chicken but tasted like ground beef and there was no sauce to put on them. They didn’t give enough lettuce slices and I requested more to take home with all the left over filling and just saw I was charged 50 cents for each single lettuce piece. Probably won’t go back
