I am so greatful for this restaurant <3 Ever since I was a little girl I have came here every year on my birthday! It is my families tradition to let the birthday girl/ boy choose where they would like to have supper. I always picked China Buffet (the flora location is my absolute favorite I one makes crab Rangoon or General tso’s the same AT ALL not even close lol). This place means more to me than just a restaurant it is a child hood memory and always a good experience! I was devastated when they closed a few years back because of the beginning of Covid among other things (renovations ect) But I always knew they would open back up. Today they have been open for just a few weeks two hot bars take out only But this is just one step closer to being back to normal! The food is OVER exceptional! The people are so kind and friendly it’s so Good to see all of you again! I am over joyed that this restaurant and it’s fine employees are back<3! As a family oriented lady and a citizen of flora Illinois I can humbly say from the bottom of my heart Thank you so much for all your efforts to start running again and thank you for providing this town with such a diverse variety of your cultures cuisine! Its no longer an all you eat buffet. They now CHARGE BY WEIGHT. Food is really good, the man at the register was so polite, but it gets really expensive. The man felt bad and let us have free drinks. Inflation is really killing alot of us

They give you a small container to go to the buffet and fill it up. You bring it back to get weighed, its 8.99 a pound. You basically don’t dine there, even though they have seats. Outrageous

Good food, prices are high for the food you get. Changed from all you can eat buffet to pay per pound causing the increase of prices. This change makes it not family friendly to eat economically.

Hubby&I drive otr and try almost any China buffet we can. Very very clean & abdomen about the cleanliness of this place. Owner was awesome. Fresh buffet starts at 3 – was the only two the & seen them consistently switch out dishes to keep them fresh. Asked if we liked the food several times as well as if there was something we’re wanting that was not available at bar. Price was so good we tipped a extra buffet price without a second thought.

I used to love this China Buffet, but the past few times I have been there, it seems to be going downhill. The food is still good and the employees are always very friendly and welcoming, but the actual building is in need of some help. If you look up at the top of the walls, near the ceiling, they are either very dirty or growing mold.. I’m not sure which, but either one is not acceptable. The bathroom isn’t always the cleanest and is also in need of some repairs/updates. I truly hope the owners are able to get things taken care of, because I would hate to see the Flora China Buffet close.

Not a buffet as the name suggests. They hand you a container and you fill it up with what you want and they charge you for it. I went up and got what would be one plate and they charged $16 for it.
