We ordered fufu and okra soup and the pork belly combo… Holy cow, this was delicious! And she was super friendly and brought our food out to us. Happy to say we won’t be driving to KC for fufu and okra soup again since we can get it here with the same quality of excellence and deliciousness. .

My husband hired Chef Matou for a late personal chef Valentine’s dinner, she came over and cooked for us and taught us about Haitian food from beginning to end! We had enough food for at least 20 meals at the end! We had pork, chicken, beer salad, black rice, eggplant, and a dessert and all of them were amazing! The chicken was so tender and flavorful! We would definitely hire her again and try other dishes and share with friends, very memorable experience!

This food was AMAZING!! I got the fufu & egusi soup with a side of coleslaw !! It was soooo good! My god! I used to drive to Wichita about once a week for the same dish and this was so much better. Not only was the food great but the owner is incredibly welcoming and accommodating. I will be back tomorrow lol

Just want to say service is awesome. Such a sweetheart and food was great! Tasted the fufu and okra soup and fried plaintains with spicy coleslaw. Great! The crazy thing is I do not like coleslaw but her coleslaw paired with the fried plaintains is off the chain. If you ever eat here try eating the coleslaw on top of the plaintains. She even showed me how to properly eat the fufu and okra soup. Yum! Would definitely recommend.

Had the sampler platter, it was very good. The fried pork is proper pork belly, the wings were fresh, and the vinegar cole slaw was a nice side to cut through the fatty flavor of the meats. The plantains were a nice addition to the meal. Owner is a veteran, and very nice. Will be trying the other dishes in the future.

I tried the truck for the first time, never before having Haitian food and I will definitely go back! The sampler had soooo many tasty foods. All three of the meats were cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. The beat salad was delicious and the plantains were equally as good! If you haven’t tried Chez Matou yet, you’re missing out!

Always fresh food and a bit of a culture lesson each time we stop—and yes, we HAVE TO stop anytime we see her food truck in town. So much heart is put into her dishes. If you haven’t tried her fried plantains, you ain’t living!!! I’d give this lady my whole paycheck if I could. Praying for a brick and mortar so we can enjoy it the food more often. Love and respect, JC loves you!!!!
