Our experience at Chez Joel was good! The outdoor patio is a beautiful, escape from the city, and the food was absolutely delicious. The scallops and risotto were outstanding, and the steak frites au poivre was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor.
The only minor issue was with the steak temperatures—two of us ordered medium rare, and one arrived a pink while the other was a definitely more on the rare side. The dessert was the perfect ending to a lovely evening. A quick tip for future diners, parking is very difficult in the area, so I highly recommend using the valet service to save yourself the hassle. We had a fun evening.

came here for the first time to celebrate a birthday. we were seated right away in an outdoor area. it was super cute, but leaves were starting to fall and one did land on our table so something to be aware of when sitting outdoors. the food came out pretty fast after ordering. my table and i loved the mussels, scallops, and pasta. highly recommend those dishes. they also served complementary bread that went great with the sauce from the mussels and escargot. the crème brûlée was disappointing as it was burnt. still, definitely worth trying. street parking was easy to find

Stumbled across this place and had to go in. We ended up sitting at the bar with Joanna, who was an awesome bartender/server. She made our experience amazing!! The special was beef Wellington and it was SO good. Also very much enjoyed the Brie appetizer and the sorbet! Everything about this place exceeded my expectations and will definitely be going back.

The French onion soup was warm and comforting. The roasted vegetables on the steak dish were amazing, and my partner thoroughly enjoyed her the lobster pasta special. More importantly, the restaurant felt cozy and welcoming.
Dessert is also a must as they do simple and delicious desserts. The blueberry tart was great and the chocolate lava cake was amazing as well.

Remarkable, Memorable, Delicious and Absolutely French. Highs: Froglegs, Brie plate, Scallops, Goat Cheese Salad , & Burger. All three deserts were impeccable!
Industrious and friendly service.
Opportunities: Halibut special was good but a wee bit dry. Water service was fine but they need to hire +2-4 staff just for table service.

What a beautiful dining experience. From the ambience, to the delicious food, this is one of my new favorite spots in the city. We sat outside on the little patio with a huge gorgeous tree over us, soft lights and French music playing. There was so much wine to choose from but we went with a Malbec that was perfect. We ordered the warm brie with garlic and apples (omg so good) and escargot. Both were absolutely delicious. Our entrées were the ribeye and the halibut that was on special for the night. The fish literally melted in your mouth and the steak was so tender. Everything had so much flavor and was cooked to perfection. Overall a beautiful, romantic night that transported us right to France. Will be coming back 🙂
