Cheng’s Chinese Restaurant in Manchester is consistently excellent. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared, with generous portions and great presentation. You can tell quality and consistency matter here.
The service truly stands out—especially the bartenders. They are always on point: friendly, attentive, and skilled at what they do. Drinks are well-made, service is quick, and the atmosphere feels welcoming every time.
Clean space, great energy, amazing food, and top-tier service make Cheng’s a go-to spot. Highly recommended and absolutely deserving of five stars.

Oi! In New Hampshire, the only Chinese cuisine you can find is the kind that heavily leans towards Chinese American. After being traumatized by Tea Garden, Dragon Star, Beijing & Tokyo, and Man Yee (well, Man Yee was alright), gotta say, this is the best place. Very very nice service, many TVs (for a Jeopardy! enthusiast like me I was rather pleased). Oh, also for someone who likes the stuff on the lighter side of things, if you request less oil and salt, they do indeed do that, just make sure to ask for lighter sauce too XDXD.
Still, go here if you wanna semblance of actual Chinese cuisine! Beats the other places in NH.

We absolutely love this place. Amazing food, drinks and sushi. The waitstaff is very welcoming and the bartender Brian will lift your spirits up. Parking is tight, but if you can find a spot, you’re in for a real treat!

When I tell you this is the worse Chinese food I’ve had, I mean it. Was feeling a little run down and I figured I’d get something on the lighter side. We ordered chicken and rice soup, wonton soup, beef on a stick, and scallion pancakes.

First, the beef on a stick (literally thrown directly into the trash) was absolutely rank. It tasted like freezer burnt sewage. It was thick, tough, and sinewy. It was literally the nastiest piece of beef I’ve ever had. Downright inedible. No sauce on it either. It literally tasted like unseasoned boiled beef.

The wonton soup was fine.. well the broth was at least. The wontons were mushy and unfortunately the beef inside was pretty strange tasting as well.

The chicken and rice soup was mediocre at best. The broth was fine but the chicken was crunchy from bad butchering. It was mostly sinew and thick pieces of tendon. It was difficult to choke down.

The scallion pancakes were pretty bad. They were likely fried at a low temperature as they were just saturated with oil. They were also fairly slimy. I am convinced the reviews for this place is fake as this was quite literally one of the worst Chinese food experiences I’ve ever had

I tried this place because it had almost 5 star reviews on grub hub, but the general gao’s order I placed to lift my spirits up just made me more sad. The chicken was tough and chewy and just bad quality, and the fried rice tasted dirty, like what they steam it in never gets cleaned or something. All in all, I’m really bummed and won’t order from here again.

The beef teriyaki was almost raw. The chicken wings did not taste good. I was very puzzled about the rice. There was hardly any pork in it, and there was no onions nor bean sprouts, no egg; it was very bland. It used to be made with fresh scallions, bean sprouts, eggs, and onions. Even the crab Rangoon was thick and chunky, and the filling did not taste like crab, it was white with greenish color filling it tasted bitter no red at all , usually it had a sweet taste. Is this restaurant under different ownership? I have never had a bad meal here in many years, but the quality of our food tonight was very disappointing.

Lunch special menu price is decent. The shrimp with mixed vegetables was delicious. Good to get if you are watching sodium intake.

Amazing service! Our waiter was so amazing! Very kind! I have a pork & shellfish allergy. They worked very hard so I could enjoy my meal just like everyone else. Very accommodating! Everything we ordered was so tasty! Although the crispy sesame chicken was a big hit at our table.

We went for lunch today with family, we had a very rude server. He seemed like he wasn’t willing to help or understand what we asked for. Along with dine-in we did some take out too. We asked for General GAO’s chicken but he packed pork instead. And the server was extremely rude, slamming the receipt on the table asking why there was no tip added to the bill. As we planned to tip him cash. We have never seen a server meant to be welcoming being so rude. !!
