My review is strictly about the restaurant and surrounding area, I have not stayed in the Inn. We’ve been here twice, once for a birthday, once just because, both times on a whim and for breakfast. You do not need reservations in the morning on weekdays, I cannot speak to weekends. There is no dress code for breakfast, we were concerned since we showed up unprepared but were seated. The restaurant is large and scenic. Tables are clean and orderly. Menu is small but sufficient. Price is fair for the quality and portion. Staff is attentive but not invasive. They let you enjoy your meal but are available when needed. Food is timely, accurate and delicious. Grounds are well kept, bar/lounge is very welcoming and plenty of places to explore. Recommend giving them a try for an upscale dining experience. Not all Bavarian food, but some good options if that’s what you’re wanting to try.

This place is really cool in all ways. They have a massive dining and bar upstairs that was kinda busy when we went. They told us about a basement bar that was down the hall and it was amazing. It felt like a speakeasy, and they had a live piano player and everything. They have a massive beer and drink menu, so anything you can imagine – they have. Fantastic location and experience, we will forsure be back

This was our first time staying and also dining at the Bavarian Inn. We are locals, so this was a little mini-getaway. Everyone raves about the Bavarian, so maybe my expectations were a little too high. We checked in and made reservations for dinner. The grounds are beautiful, service was friendly and helpful. We went to our room, it is nice but a bit dated and not as clean as I would have expected. The bathroom had some mold in the shower, the bathtub had hair in it and was a little grimey, and there was something on the floor (in the grout) around the toilet. It was quiet, even being close to the elevator. The bed was comfy.
Dinner. The restaurant was not full, but there was a wedding outside, so maybe staff was overwhelmed. The hostess was very nice. Service seemed slow to me, we had 3 different people at our table to take drink orders, set bread down, take our food order and then bring out our food. Nobody asked how we were doing or how the food was after it was brought out. My steak was overcooked and had very little chimichurri on it, it also had some other sauce underneath it that was just odd tasting. My husband’s Rueben was greasy (but tasty). The meal took much longer than it should’ve, we didn’t have appetizers (mostly because I am sensitive to many foods and couldn’t really eat anything available). Then our server didn’t return our credit card, it was dropped somehow in the dining room. Thankfully she found it.
The website says the pool is closed, so I skipped packing my suit but there were people in the pool. So that was a bit disappointing because the pool is beautiful. The grounds are nicely kept, aside from being a dry but I know that is from the lack of rain we’ve had.
Breakfast was the redemption. Our server was wonderful! The food was great. I wish I could’ve eaten the complimentary biscuits. I had to order a bunch of sides because of my special diet. The potatoes were delicious, just like my mom makes them. Bacon doesn’t take like chemicals (much appreciated) and the fresh fruit was very tasty (not always the case).
So, again, maybe it was my high expectations but I was a little disappointed. It definitely is not crossed off the list forever. It was a good experience, just not great.

We just went in for Christmas dinner. They were very busy and I’m only guessing probably had been all day. My kudos goes to David ,the owner and the hostess staff. David worked very hard helping out his staff and was a shining example of what a owner can do to help in the stressful rush. He was pleasant, calm, kept a very peaceful monotone in his voice. Very sweet man. We’ve never been out for Christmas dinner before in 50 years. We would definitely go back here again because no matter how crazy the day can be, if the owner is willing to come out and help the.way he does, then I think that says a lot about his integrity and work ethic. He also wasn’t screaming at his employees. He knew what it was and what was going on . He knew he was needed. I appreciate that kind of attention. It means he cares about his business, his staff ,the reputation and our experience there.
Food was pretty good. The brussel sprouts were to die for and salmon. Perfect. The only suggestion I have would be to work on the apple strudel.
The live entertainment. Just loved it! The fella in the keyboard really raised up my spirits. Thank you David for what you did for us and how lovely the place is. All the lights and everything!

Lovely restaurant with nice menu and excellent, fine dining service. The menu has lots of varied options for the whole family. It could do with more German meals not using beef or pork, if possible. The beef stroganoff has pickle flavoring, which my daughter didn’t take to. My Shepherds pie was deliciously flavored, but a tad thin on lamb. That said, we had a lovely and memorable family dinner there last weekend. It’s a very special place and I look forward to dining there again soon. I missed the former, more elegant and colorful decor; the Modern Farmhouse look is nice, but needs more color and decor.

Being locals, we’ve eaten here many times. The various dining areas are all beautiful and unique – inside, outside, casual, formal. The service is usually well done, sometimes a little slow. This last time for lunch in the dining room, the food was eh – although huge, the Caesar-requested with blackened salmon and no anchovies-came with anchovies hiding under the parm chip and no blackened seasoning. The bbq sandwich was absolutely drowning in slaw, though the meat was tasty. The burger was well enjoyed but the Rueben and chips were just eh. We will go back, of course, and hope for better meals next time.

Very nice. Atmosphere was pleasant and the food was very good. I had lobster ravioli. It would have been better if it came with a side salad without paying extra given the cost of the meal.

Food was just ok – just not as much flavor as we expected except the sauerkraut, which was excellent. The beer from their brewery was great.
