This is one of those establishments where you would go for cheap prices and large portions. In my experience, the food was sub-optimal. The salmon was farm raised vs wild caught. It was pretty bland. It came on a bed of rice. The rice was crunchy, and that was unexpected.

I like Cheddar’s. Their restaurants design is nice, they have good menu selection, and the food prices are reasonable. I tried the Cajun pasta for the first time. It had chicken, shrimp, and sausage in it. Not very many shrimp though. It was excellent, and tasted good. The only problem was I had to wait 10 minutes just for a carryout box. I think the server was overwhelmed with too many tables. But, with the low manpower during 2021, was glad the restaurant was open and had someone to actually take care of us.

Ordered medium well steak. Taste was good, but a little overdone. But it seems medium well is subjective. Rest of my meal (baked potato and the Broccoli cheddar) tasted great. My wife’s chicken tenders were undercooked, so was my mom’s breaded fish. The flavored lemonades were bitter, like they use a low calorie sweetener. Service speed was ok, but after bringing our order, the server would come and go taking other orders but not even look askance at our table. The manager was nice and asked what he could do to fix it. They didn’t charge for the undercooked meals, which was kinder than I expected. So I would go there again. I’m guessing they may have been short staffed that day. Ambience was nice. Staff was friendly. Again, taste was good.

My wife and I had dinner at Cheddar’s this evening. We arrived at 7:14 PM and were seated at 7:39 PM. That is not a bad wait time given how busy they were tonight. We ordered by 7:42 PM and were given heavenly butter croissants by 7:49 PM. The croissants had this honey butter on them that made them wonderful to eat. Our main dishes arrived at 7:58 PM.

This restaurant makes you feel at home, comfortable seating and huge food portions. We ordered the chips and queso, chicken fingers & French fries, country fried steak with cheesy broccoli casserole. I love the croissants with honey butter drizzle on them. The food was great. We had an awesome waitress. We will definitely visit again the next time we go that direction.

We love going and enjoying the food. Love the salmon. Everything was so good and delicious. We would eat in and take out. My daughter would go every time when she is in town either with us or with her friends. I am so very sad that today is the last day of you being open. Cheddar’s will be sadly miss. Now we will have to find at where there is one at. We ordered take out today.

This restaurant is about to close. Once a standby, competition and corporate apathy took their toll. I ordered grilled cajun whitefish with broccoli casserole, Caesar salad and croissant. The meal was well prepared and well presented. The Caesar salad was adequate but had very little dressing or cheese. The croissant was a nice accompaniment to me salad. My entree was tasty. The catfish was grilled and seasoned to perfection. The fish was tender and flaky, and the seasoning added a taste of crispness and texture. The broccoli casserole was good, but a skimpy portion left more of a suggestion of a side dish than an actual portion. Overall, pretty good. Value for the price was good, but portions have definitely shrunk. Bottom line: Enjoy it while it’s here, because it’ll be gone pretty soon.

This was our first visit to Cheddar’s and it was great. 15-20 min wait on a busy Friday night was entirely reasonable. Restaurant was clean and staff were friendly. The crassoints were a pleasant alternative to dinner rolls. Meals were generously portioned and steaks were cooked as ordered. If you like coconut I highly recommend the Painkiller drink.
