I went to Dock Side Pub looking for a small Box of clams, but they wanted to give me fries too for $36. I left, then called Charlie’s and happily paid $35 for a medium box of clams with no fries. The tartar sauce is perfect, probably the best in New England. Glad the other place didn’t want to be flexible for me.

Ordered through the online Google website on the main Google page when I got there they informed me they didn’t have an online system then said there in the process of setting one up. Easy to get to Charle’s from Salem and parking is next door. The sea food is fresh and lightly battered…. just perfect…. not greasy or heavy. I recommend the jumbo ship platter and the seafood platter.

Some of the best fried seafood I’ve had in a long time, if not ever. The clam strips were fresh and flaky, light and crispy, not greasy at all. The small portion was actually quite big!

Been going to Charlies since the 80s… not one restaurant anywhere can compare to the best Haddock Sandwiches in the world. I get a large with tarter sauce and cheese and devour it.. the scallop rolls are great too… my husband loves a fisherman’s platter and can only eat half and has the rest the next day…. always fresh ..always consistent.
