Great food for the very affordable price. Like most places lately, short staffed but worth having patience for the specials. The restaurant side is non-smoking and no hint of smoke detected from the bar side.

Food is alright when you get the special of the day…great value on the specials…this is not a smoke free bar & grill. You will come out of the place smelling like an ash tray. I put up with it because the food is really good .

we go to this place about twice a week. The owner has really begun fixing the place up and it looks nice. The food is good and a great deal on their specials. The problem i have is sometimes not enough kitchen or floor help. Also they run out of their specials quickly. They sometimes tell you at the front door the kitchen is backed up and they are out of that special like steak . Another thing is when they are busy you might get told sorry no more specials and the kitchen is backed up so you can’t come in! What ,this was at 6:10 and they don’t close till 7 .What if you want to order something else?????? What’s with the onion rings being 10.00 an order??? Makes no sense ! The food is good and the people are friendly. No smoking here. Cathy

The dine-in side was empty and it smelled of cigarette smoke. The waitress was nice enough, but the whole place just lacked so much attention and care. For the price, the crab cakes were really unfortunate. The baked beans were straight out of a can with little to nothing done to them, the rice was microwaved, and the crab cakes just weren’t anything special. The fish and chips were a step up because of the large pieces of fish. The downside is that they were COMPLETELY void of any flavor. The shrimp boil was fine. This spot really needs some work.

The food is great the wife and I wanted to eat in but the ventilation from the bar side is not doing the job. On the non-smoking side the smoke is very strong. So we ask for take out.

So you want some delicious chili, eh?! Nope, not here. Hard Times Cafe has left and now it’s a restaurant called Charlie G’s. Was told the menu is pretty much the same as HTC (minus any signs of chili). The food was good, kinda pricey. Where this new restaurant excelled however, was the friendly staff. They were all down to earth with their customers, funny, genuinely happy to be there. If I was to go back it would be solely based on the friendly customer service…then the food. I hope they will make it, filling Hard Times Cafe will be a tough shoe to fill in that space. ✌️

Came here from out of town (Michigan) and it was a great place to stumble on. Great food, pool tables, machines to gamble, lots of tvs, all around great place to stop in. Bartender was super cool, Highly recommend.

Yesterday I had the best cheese nachos in years, I can’t stop thinking about it. The place is nice and you can smoke inside. Our waitress was Cindy and she is excellent, she made my *Cuba libre* with the amount of rum that is needed. This a nice place.
